CSI

I just started watching CSI and I must admit that I am very impressed with the high level of the shows quality. I'm not much into CSI:Miami. It doesn't have the same flair that the original has.

Anyone else enjoy this show as much as me?

CSI is my most favourite TV show. however, i do a radio show at the station on campus every thursday night from 10 to midnight, so i can't watch it, which really pisses me off, because i love that show! :-( i'll catch the reruns in the summer i guess.

My wife and I watch it. It's one of the only shows we really watch, the other being Law and Order.

It's a great show! I watch it as often as I can.

I'm not that impressed with CSI:Miami though, I find it more bland.

I really like the show, but it clashes with my wrestling on Thursday. I'm glad TNN has it at 11:00pm after WWE Raw

I like them both, but I liked CSI - Miami better when Kim Delaney was in it.

Can't beat the original, though.

I am glad they have made the two different shows. CSI is more "high tech" and Miami is more like a regular cop show.

Last night, my wife and I watched Crossing Jordan for the first time. It wasn't bad. I still like Jerry "Sliders Guy".

I love CSI. My wife love's CSI. But we both hate the CSI: Miami spinoff. It's not that it is a bad show, just that David Caruso is a horrible actor. Does he ever not have his hand on his hip in a GQ pose?

The original is still the best!!! Love it!

I wholeheartedly agree CSI is the best show on TV(well, maybe after the Simpsons) I tried to watch the Miami version once, but that red-headed butt head ruined it for me. They should have canned his ass, and kept Kim Delaney.

I hate TV, absolutely hate having it on.... and I find myself checking the time to see whether CSI is on yet. *sighs* I love both versions of it, but Cubby's right, Caruso is always standing like that... I hadn't thought of it as being a GQ pose, now I'm gonna be laughing next Monday when I watch it.

Kim Delaney was even worse than Caruso..at least Caruso can change his expression everyonce and a while. Delaney just seemed to be trying too hard to be a...hmm...hard to describe. She always seemed to be attempting to show she had complete control, knew everything, etc. Either bad acting or bad character writing but sooo glad her character was written off (not that I watch the show much).

CSI has gone downhill this season. This season focuses too much on gore instead of science and criminal work.

i watch csi but i can not call it a "great show". with any good mystery, if you are smart enough, you should be able to figure out the ending about halfway through it. CSI is more of a "wow i used futuristic scientific methods to discover clues that the writers of the show just randomly placed" this meaning that there isn't much mystery solving done. without the cut scenes of them performing these "tests", the show would only be 1/2 as long as it is and it would be more obvious that the success of the show depends on the "amazing technology" they have.

but as far as tv series writing goes, it is pretty good compared to most

i love this show. its so good that they had to create 2 spinoffs of it....csi: miami and without a trace. i know without a trace isnt a csi spinoff, but it might as well be. its the same damn thing except their looking for missing people instead of looking for a killer.

I've only recently started watching it. I have the same opinion of CSI Miami. It doesn't have the flair of the original and it seems Miami is more brow beating in tone. Since when does the crime scene investigation team go out on its' own and interrogate suspects. Doesn't the homicide team do that?

One more question. Don't the low cut tops of the lead feamle look good? I mean, they're distracting, I'm sure, but still.

I got hooked by CSI last year...haven't missed an episode since...

The running joke around the house is anytime on the national or local news that they can't find a killer or solve any kind of mystery...why don't they just call CSI???

CSI is great but...

Personally I have to go with Law in Order though. The current cast right now is probably the best its been too, at least IMO.

Law and Order is great.
NYPD Blue is almost great because its great characters draw me in.

CSI and CSI Miami are both good in my opinion. However, after watching each one for some time, I come to realize that they are just a mixture of Murder, She Wrote and Scooby Doo.

Murder, She Wrote had about 1,200 killings during its many years, in a town with a population of just over 800.

well, i have to admit i did enjoy the first season of CSI, but after that, imo, it seemed to peter out. i think i just got sick of that guy saying ´think outside the square´.
i watched CSI:Miami a couple of times, just to get my fix of Bullet Girl... but that too became less interesting.

Delaney made CSI: Miami unwatchable imo.

Without her it's a palatable substitute until the NZ tv networks start showing the new season of CSI.

William Petersen who plays Grissom has some sort of producing role in CSI and he was quiet disappointed with a spinoff coming so soon.

So yeh, things don't look good for Miami, although that blonde ballistics expert they have (her name escapes me) is super hot!

i love CSI for the fact that u dont really hafta know anything bout the characters, just jump right into a episode(cant miss the some parts thought or u'll be lost)

I like to think of it as the Adult Version of Scooby Doo

I absolutely hate Grissom though, he is such a old fart, i cant stand the way he comes to a conclusion, "what do yadda yadda do when yadda yadda when it comes in contact with yadda yadda?" "I dont know" "Yadda Yadda", Grissom gives a smug look and then its off to a commercial , ughhh, i cant stand his character

My GF and I keep watching this show. I have to admit that most episodes simply suck ass. The acting isn't that bad, but jesus H, the script is unbelievably horrid. I'm not really sure why we keep watching it. It's almost like we can't stop watching. The only character that doesn't grate my nerves is Warrick and maybe the other white guy besides Gil. Both girls annoy the shit outta me.

Seems like some episodes have decent writers. Ok, by "some," I mean 2. Those episodes were actually good, and by good, I mean good TV, not just entertaining TV. But 95% of the episodes are too cheesy to be any good. Like I said -- we can't stop watching.

Woah, out of the ashes.

Lasereth, I hear you. I was really into CSI for a while and watched pretty much the whole run on syndication, and now I don't watch it at all. It's a total popcorn show. I have never watched more than five minutes of Miami or New York, though. I'm wondering why geniuses with social development issues are big as TV characters right now. Between Grissom, House, that guy on Criminal Intent -- do people like watching jerks?

I just love how these CSI-people do field work, lab work, and interrogation.

CSI Miami is horrific and the rest of the shows are average. The way they jump to conclusions is just ridiculous. Stick to Law and Order.

I watch CSI (the orignal one) on a regular basis. Some might even say it is verging on fanatical; and, perhaps it is. Saw part of the Miami version-twice. Hated it. Saw the New York version a few times-didn't like it. Nothing compares to the original in story and the solid nature of these actors and their individual characters.

I used to like CSI. Right up until sometime last season where it just kinda lost me and I stopped caring. CSI: Miami is okay at best if you can ignore Carruso. I actually quite like CSI: NY but then again I like Gary Sinise.

Sorry to necro the thread, but did anyone watch this week's episode titled Space Oddity? It was a silly episode but I was surprised as hell to see Grace Park(Boomer from BSG) hidden away in the crowd when the guy was previewing his remake of a classic scifi show. Apparently Ron Moore was there too but I don't know what he looks like to verify

Holy sheep! I thought I was seeing things! But it was her?
I have no clue what Ronald Moore looks like, though.

This was a fun episode. It was as good as the other mystery episode starring Wallace Langham and the same hot girl. (too lazy to look her up)

I like where the writers are going with their two characters.

Also, about Larry Fishburne's character. I'm not feeling the love.
