Epic Deathmatch Thread
Time for a new showdown of the ages! Come one, come all to see the epic struggles of the titans! The only rule? No healing! To the death! Resurrection is allowed, but only to fight again!
Come up with a showdown of two favorite characters, explain who would win, and why. Bonus convoluted points for mixing genres. Sylar (TV show Heroes) vs Yoda. Yoda would, as he always does, wait patiently for Sylar to make the first move. Sylar would start by making his creepy comments about what he sees in Yoda. Yoda would respond with folksy wisdom that Sylar would disregard. Sylar goes for his classic telekinesis. Yoda responds in kind. They face each other in a grueling focus for several seconds before being blasted apart. Sylar goes for the lighting, Yoda catches it and redirects, Sylar is surprised and gets hit. Shuffling closer, Yoda sees if Sylar is still alive. Sylar lunges with hands of ice, Yoda senses the threat and deftly removes his hand with a lightsaber. They trade more dialogue, Sylar is consumed by pain and hate. Sylar's next attack is his last as Yoda removes his head with a deft flip and a slash from the lightsaber. Winner: The little green giant! Yoda! |

No healing .....that's a hard one. I cant pair most of the normal heroes because all their abilities center on healing e.g. Superman, spiderman (not as good as superman), the flash e.t.c.....
But I would have to go with Sephiroth Vs. Megatron .......... Megatron would want to blast sephiroth out of the sky but he would simply deflect it with his sword. Sephiroth comes in with a running lunge and they meet blades. Megatron get a sword enhanced with carbon but it does not stand a chance against Sephiroth's ability to cut through space. It's spectacular, they battle for long minutes on end when they are locked in an X hold then Megatron blasts Sephiroth with lasers from his eyes (Viewing Unit??) He comes in for the kill with a concentrated blast from one of his guns when out of nowhere Sephiroth cuts the ground beneath him making him trip, then he swings again and this time the wave get's Megatron's right forearm right off and leaves his left knee damaged. Megatron kneeling, Sephiroth walks to him and says "Is that the best you could do?" and chops his head off. |

Does Jack Dempsey vs Mike Tyson count?
It lasts about 2 rounds.... at the bell Tyson - a young Tyson, a 22 year old Tyson - is quicker, throwing uppercuts and hooks as Dempsey charges forward again and again trying to slip and hook and clinch. With 30 seconds left in round the first Tyson puts Dempsey down with a vicious left uppercut. Dempsey rises on 8 and, fighting on instinct, somehow scraps through the rest of the round as an enraged Tyson tries to finish him. In round two the bout descends into a virtual street fight - all tactics go out the window as the two men tear into each other. Two thirds of the way through the round Tyson seems to be gaining ascendancy, but suddenly Dempsey strikes with a savage hook to the body. Tyson visibly shudders to his core, but gamely tries to fight back; but Dempsey keeps coming forwards, swarming all around him, taking blows but delivering more. With 20 seconds left Tyson drops under a barrage of short hooks, makes one futile attempt to rise and then collapses on his face. As the ref counts him out the animal in Dempsey suddenly seems to disappear, and he helps the fallen champ to his feet and carries him to his corner.
