Is the O'Reilly Factor less partisan than it used to be?
A friend recommended I tune into The O'Reilly Factor prior to the election and after doing so, it seems the show is a lot less partisan than it used to be.
Would those of you that have seen the show in the past and more recently agree with this statement? It's been awhile since I've watched the show and I'm curious if the show has in fact toned down its bias, or if I'm just less aware of it than I used to be. |

Haha, just kidding...I don't really have anything else to contribute other than my new favorite Gif. |
No.
Especially not with Lara Inghram (sp?) as a guest host. |
I have a feeling you will see a lot of Rush clones.... like O'Reilly, becoming more centrist because they want to follow the ratings.
The ones that don't are the ones that believe the philosophy they talk about, the ones that do turn, like O'Reilly, probably a lot of the Fox people, Glenn Beck and so on were just in it for the money. I would not be surprised to see some "radical" neo cons do a 180 and all of a sudden be huge Barack supporters and denouncing the right. It's all about ratings and money. |

Another guest responded to the anti-McCain comments made by a fifth grade school teacher by stating that she also criticized Obama, but Ingram wouldn't hear any of that, either. It's unfortunate, as it was a clear indication of the media showing only part of a given scenario and basing a large part of their story strictly on the portions that correspond with the picture they want to paint. In a sense, I found her presence on the show to be more like the O'Reilly Factor of old, and perhaps it's fitting that I see her host after making this thread. Given that, I still think O'Reilly is closer to middle than he used to be, even if it is disingenuine and strictly a ratings grab. Are there any mainstream television news shows similar to The O'Reilly Factor that are genuinely bi-partisan, or at least less biased? I really enjoy the Charlie Rose show, but beyond that am not one that watches a lot of television, especially in regards to news shows and the like. |
