Who Is the Knocked-out Champ?

Friends,

I've been watching TV for a long time (but not all in one sitting). Early on I would watch western TV series a lot. And many of these actual episodes have come back in rerun via cable. Anyway, the question came up at my workplace, "What character in a TV series has been most often hit on the head by a badman and been knocked unconscious?"

It doesn't have to be a western character necessarily. It might be a private eye like Rockford, for example. The people I work with have narrowed it down to Marshal Matt Dillon, or one of the Cartwright boys. I can't help but think we are missing some possiblities however. Any suggestions?

Your Buddy,
Galileo Smith

I would agree with the Rockford one, but would also suggest Tonto and Magnum, too.

Batman and/or Robin. Every episode.

Fre,

I don't think Magnum was on long enough to take a sufficient number of blows to the head to be in the derby. But Tonto is one I had not considered. Both him and his "trusty white man companion" the Lone Ranger, were getting knocked out a lot. Another one no one has considered but who is in the same vein is Roy Rogers. Roy received a lot of six-shooter whacks to the skull, waking up to a headache and a "big goose egg" on his noggin.

I dunno, but The Hatian's been making a good run at being knocked out a lot this season.

In that vein, I say Wil E. Coyote.

Smallville is the new knock-out TV show. Clark Kent doesn't do anything super until Lois Lane goes unconscious.
