F.R.I.E.N.D.S Fans? Get ready for this...
I am die-hard fan, watch at least one episode out of my full 10-season DVD collection everyday...
If you've heard of the rumor that they were going to do a Friends movie, this is false. They are talking about doing a televised reunion of some sort, though. In a way, I'd like to see a movie, but only if it's successful like Sex & The City. I think it would probably be overkill, though. Then Warner would want to do more movie reunions with other shows...and that's too much. But, man, I miss Friends!

I miss friends too. It's like, one of the relics of a better time: the 90s.
That's the thing though, it worked much better in the 90s. I don't think 2008 is a very good setting for friends. I mean, they've pretty much sewed up all loose ends, save for Joey. Well, there was that show, but that... didn't do too well. I mean, what would we see in a movie? Six fourty somethings and their kids... Drinking coffee?

It would have to be like The Big Chill or Denys Arcand's The Barbarian Invasions.

I concur, I think the movie would be a tad dull and/or just plain bad....and I was a huge fan of the series. The plot of the movie would have to shake loose the tidy wrapping-up that occurred in the finale, or else be, as previous poster suggested, a bunch of forty-somethings sittin' around drinkin' coffee.

I think it was fine in it`s time and place, but that time has passed. Similar discussions occurred regarding Seinfeld.
Let it go.

Ya, you can't really wait 4 years then decide to do a movie. Not unless you're MASH and no one really changes....But something like Friends is embedded in it's time. But, man, would I give anything to see more shows. I am waiting on my toes for a televised reunion, though.
