OMG IT'S STARTING!(aka the fall 2008 tv season)
The fall season! I just watched Smallville(meh) and Supernatural(woot) season premieres tonight. ER final season starting next week. Sons of Anarchy has been on for a few weeks now and I'm kinda getting into it. Fringe is a few episodes in and it's pretty interesting so far. House season premiere this week was also quite good.
I'm a little sad we're only getting 8 new episodes of Nip/tuck this year. So, What are you guys and gals going to be watching or skipping this year? The new series I'm really interested in this year is Sons of Anarchy. Ron Pearlman, Katey Segal and a small role for a mean looking Mitch Pileggi. I don't know the 'Main" character of the show Jax, but He's a good character. probably a much better person than the guys he hangs out with. This show has potential.

I'm interested to see what Top Gear Australia is like (whether it is good or a complete bastard child of the UK show). It is starting here in a little over a week.

1. House for sure. Great series.
2. Lost, maybe. It's getting hard trying to follow it for so long. 3. I like Numb3rs. Does anyone else like Numb3rs? 4. OMG! 30 Rock! 30 Rock is like teh roxxorz!!!11 I love this show. I think they should rename it the Alec Baldwin show. he is totally my idol, pwned! Woot! 5. Terminator: The Summer Glau Is Hot Chronicles - I am actually enjoying this series. Good stuff. Interesting too. 6. Battlestar Galactica - the mother of all sagas, the epic of all epics. Seriously, BSG cannot come soon enough. I'm dying here. But for me, this is the big one.

The only thing I've seen so far is (and I'm not sure this counts cause it's on HBO in the States and the Movie network in Canada) is True Blood, and it fucking rocks! Anna Pacquin all grown up and having the hots for her 167 year old vampire boyfriend. Basic premise is the Japanese have invented synthetic blood and the vampires have all come out of the closet, so to speak. From the creators of Six Feet Under.

I am looking forward to the following series:
Prison Break Heroes Sara Connor Chronicles House Bones Lost Pushing Daisies Chuck My Name is Earl The Office 30 Rock SNL True Blood-This is a fantastic new series and I am hooked. *Fringe-I just watched one episode several nights ago and thought the acting was average, but the story line was interesting. I may have to watch a few more episodes to see if it will be a good show. |

At this point, just repeating my 3 shows from last year:
Lost The Office Reaper I sense failure around Fringe, I don't quite know why. If it seems to pick up success, I'll go back and watch the old episodes.

Sarah Conner hasn't really grabbed me yet this season, but we're only a few eps in. The potential is virtually limitless. Smallville sucked. 8 years in and we've still not seen Superman, just a whiny Clark Kent. I was hoping the Justice League angle would help, but Green Arrow is all wrong (and clearly they're all bad actors). Smallville is a good example of not planning well at the beginning of the series; they should have planned 3 arcs and stuck with them. Fringe could turn into X-Files or it could crash and burn. We'll have to wait and see. Battlestar won't be back until 2009. |

I have even less interest in the fall tv season this year than I was last year.
I'll watch the final season of ER just because and I'll give Heros a couple weeks to see if they can come back from the lousy season last year. On cable, I'm looking forward to the new season of Californication. Other than that.... |

Damnit.. I wish I had TV service just to watch Bones. Nothing else is important, just Bones.

I'll be getting the third season on DVD soon, since I had to stop with the Christmas episode (started dating Crompsin/moved). I'm super excited.

Right now, i'm only holding on to shows which show me that they will not stretch themselves pass boredom.
South park (they get better every year!) The office (hoping they still keep it funny) Scrubs (last season) Prison break (I'm watching mostly because my gf likes it. I hope they kill it after this season) BSG (this will be awesome. And they are finishing it after this season!) Breaking bad (if this continues, I will definitely watch it! best 1st season!) 24( I might watch it. but not likely)

Mainstays:
The Office Lost 30 Rock New Blood (that I'm giving a chance): Fringe The Mentalist (Does anyone remember Probe starring Parker Stevenson in the 80's?) Guilty Pleasure: Sarah's House (HGTV Canada) Also, stupid CBC is finally airing season four of Doctor Who. Naturally I've already watched it online, but it'll be nice to see full size.

I use NBC.com for Chuck, CBS.com for HIMYM, Numbers, both CSIs, Big Bang Theory, ABC.com for Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Ugly Betty and finally Fox.com for Kitchen Nightmares. Most of these episodes are put on the day after they show on the TV. If they are not up the next day, they are up before the new episode shows on the TV.

Yeah, man oh man I wish the new TV season played mostly in the summer. I'm back in school now, and I've got so little time. But I'm a TV junkie who needs his fix.
I think sleep is going to suffer... P.S. The baseball playoffs + grad school + new TV season = one miserable October for yours truly.
