Fast and Furious Trailer - Trailer Addict
Well, looks like Paul and Vin are working together again. I did like the first movie, he second was eh, and the third, was pure japanese car porn.

The first one had a grittiness to it that somehow made it seem authentic, despite the terrible performances. The second was a big mess.
I kinda thought the third had the most substance of the three, though. The story was a bit contrived, and the Nissan 6 in the Mustang was nothing short of blasphemy, but the somewhat observant peek into Japanese culture (excusing the poor representation of Yakuza) and the relationship between the white guy and Han was interesting. I'd almost go so far to say that the conversations between Han and the white guy were the highlight of the series. Sung Kang is a decent actor and was able to grow the role well, which is good news because... Sung Kang will be reprising his role as Han in the fourth installment. By my understanding, this new movie will take place after 1 & 2, but before 3 (which explains Vin Dlesel's cardboard cameo at the end of Tokyo Drift). The good news? Justin Lin (Tokyo Drift) will be directing instead of Rob Cohen or John Singleton, so I would say that FF4 has the same opportunity to improve the series that Tokyo Drift took advantage of. Music will be done by Brian Tyler (best known for his original score to the Sci Fi channel's "Children of Dune", which was quite good). I'm going to see it, but I won't go in with high expectations. |

I never paid any attention to the fnf series because I have no interest in the street racing/tuner car subculture. Also, the movies looked cheesy.
However, that is one sexy trailer! Uh, not the truck one. The movie one. Does anyone know the music in the background? Is it new for the movie or an existing track I can find alreadry?

I'm so in love with Jordana Brewster, and I'm glad that she's in the next one, too.
FNF1 was the only one I liked, and it was fantastic in my opinion. I'm definitely seeing this one, even tho I wasn't terribly impressed with the trucks..

As a real street racer myself, it was a funny movie. The 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse in the beginning of the film was naturally aspirated, but somehow it has a blow-off valve and reaches 140 before the 1/4 mile? Absurd. And he insists that more nitrous will increase his top speed! My favorite, though, is when the main character is read the riot act by Vin Diesel, and he claims that not double clutching was somehow a serious error. This is of course insane; straight shifting is how you race in a car. Double shifting is how you drive a big rig. Maybe they pulled the synchros out of the Eclipse to save weight? HAHAHAHHA |

I guess my comp won't load the player.
All I see on that page is the player for the ad for the drink Full Throttle, and the people talking about FaF4.

I absolutely love Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, that movie is just fun to watch. Fascinating to see an accurate capture of the various Japanese subcultures!
The first one is mega corny, horribly corny, but I'm with Willravel - it did have a certain grit about it that made it seem plausible. Yeah, it was a horrible movie, but it did have its own unique qualities. 2nd one just sucked all around. I'm excited for 4!!!!!!!!!! And yeah, Lasereth is right, the fact they have Vin driving a Buick Grand National makes me hot in the pants. -----Added 30/8/2008 at 08 : 59 : 02----- Ok I almost choked on my drink when I saw this, this is the funniest fucking thing on the entire internet........hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
