TRON: Legacy
There are moments that people cherish from their childhood. Things like playing catch with their dad the first time, or your first best friend.
One of the moments in my childhood was watching TRON for the first time, at my Aunt and Uncle's house. I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 at the time, as they had it in Betamax (google it). The movie was completely different than anything I'd ever seen and took over my world for months. It was special. It is a part of who I am. It was a big part of why I became interested in technology and science fiction. Every once in a while I sit down and watch my TRON DVD. I think back to a time with my Aunt (who has since passed away from cancer) and Uncle. It's really an entertaining movie, even without the nostalgia. Imagine my surprise when I see that they are making a sequel... with Jeff Bridges. I apologize for the quality of the bootleg trailer here (from ComicCon), but suffice to say that it's a decent teaser. I'll add the obligatory "I hope they don't screw it up", but really I am just happy to see someone take a crack at the TRON universe. If it's good, even a little, this will be a great movie experience. The release date is estimated to be some time in 2011. |

Bitching. I watched the VHS of TRON to static when I was younger. now they are making another... I haven't even the words to describe what Bridges looked like in that trailer, other than awesome. |

Holy shit! That's awesome!!
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the movie TRON. I saw it in the theaters, and I went back twice more for good measure. I thought it was absolutely unlike anything I'd ever seen. When the video game came out, I spent hours in the arcades, playing it....

I want to see this. I liked Tron when I was a kid, but I'm not a huge fan of it. Think I might d/l it and watch it again. Jeff Bridges looks fucking awesome. |

Ok, I'm really pumped about TRON. I'm really hoping that Disney doesn't cheezify the story too much, but I'm betting on it being kid-safe so I can take my nephews to see it for Christmas. I can't wait!
