Michael Mann
Are his better days behind him? Has it all been downhill since Heat? Will there be a Mann resurgence after the Miami Vice flop?
|
Have you not seen or heard of Hancock? I thought it was pretty good.
|
Ahh, I see Mann produced it. Directed by Peter Berg who had a small part in Collateral. As for your question, I've heard of it, but not seen it. Didn't even know Mann helped produce it. May check it out once it's on DVD.

I am of the minority opinion that Miami Vice was decent (though Crockett and Tubs were miscast big time). I loved Collateral and Ali. Insider is still one of my favorite movies.

Guys come on!!!
http://images.eonline.com/eol_images...eral.11070.jpg Best movie ever! /cue Shadow on the Sun by Audioslave. Heat and Collateral are two of my favorites. Mann needs more work. |

Anyone who has seen Collateral knows that Mann hasn't gone anywhere and neither has his talent!
|
I know this isn't a Michael Mann film, so maybe I'm sabotaging my own thread, but 'Righteous Kill' is the first movie to co-star DeNiro and Pacino since 'Heat.' Though it definitely doesn't look to be at the same level as Mann's film starring the duo, I think it will definitely be worth my time. Thoughts?
