Daft Punk: Interstella 5555
I really enjoyed the Daft Punk album Discovery that came out back when I was in HS. It was accompanied by anime style music videos that were actually pretty interesting. Recently I found out that the music videos all tie together into one story:

Thanks for the link, will.
It seems as though this is the "movie version"... I myself watched all the individual music videos of the album Discovery(I think there were 14 in total), only later to find out they were all worked out to become a feature length... er, film. Quite enjoyable, and a very original concept to boot. had no idea that all the greats in music were beings from a galaxy far, far away.

I've been a Daft Punk fan for a long time. Da Funk and Around the World are two of my favorite music videos ever. Up there with Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim. I knew the anime ones were supposed to be all the same story but viewing them individually I really never payed attention to how well they ran together. Thanks for the link Will. It's great seeing the whole picture and listening to a few of the videos I missed.

I really dig Daft Punk, so when I first found this movie I was jazzed. I hate this style of anime (Galaxy Express 999 is the worst trash in the genre) but the 'movie' is still fun and even fairly coherent

I love Daft Punk. I used to hate House as a genre until I was introduced to them. I even loved their Technologic album. Good stuff all around.
