Homestar runner & mellow mushroom
 

I was introduced to the homestarrunner.com website a few weeks ago, now I go to it almost every day. For anyone interested, the creators started a new site at Mellowmushroom.com. Both I'd recommend. Has anyone seen these?

I will admit, i'd rather go to Homestar right now than Mellow Mushroom, but Mellow Mushroom is just getting started, maybe they need to hit their stride on that one still. Besides, how can anything be better than Homestar?

That mellow mushroom site isn't so good - hopefully it'll get better.

The Mellow Mushroom's just a chain of pizza restaurants here in the south. IOW, the site is one big ad. I doubt it'll get any better.

When I first saw it (and this thread is the first I'd heard of it) I thought it was just someone aping TBC's style, so I looked over at homestarrunner.net, because I figured if anyone would know, they would ... if I hadn't read it there I wouldn't have believed it.

I'd almost call it selling out, but considering that TBC have stated that they'd sooner stop making H*R than be forced to put ads on it, if it pays the bills and lets them keep doing H*R, I'm all for it.

Ok, Mellow Mushroom is a pizza chain - but it's a DAMN GOOD pizza chain!!! :) I moved from Atlanta to the NYC area - and I still crave the shroom!

Strongbad is on a scale of 1 - 10 super awesome. I watch it every monday

Heh heh, seriously, I look forward to the Strong Bad email every single Monday. It brightens up the sad gray existance that is that day.

I want to make it a point to use the word "burninate" everyday at least three times.

Not knowing that Mellow Mushroom is a real pizza place, it is strange to see the cartoon and get familiar with the character that way, and then go to the website of the pizza place and see that cartoon guy on their road-side sign. To me, it is what it would be like to see Strong Bad on a cereal box. But I guess Mellow Mushroom is not a TBC creation? That would make sense; he has a whole different style than the characters in the H*R world. Oh, btw, I'm a bit drunk right now. TFP is awesome!

Strong Bad is pretty cool. Not always as funny, but I've had a few cannabis-induced near heart attacks laughing at his emails.

You think the Mellowmushroom would make it a little more obvious that its an add. It took me a while of just thinking that the brothers Chaps had really lost it before I realized it was just an add for a pizza joint. Now if they would write some better stuff for it, then I would be interested, but as it stands, its kinda lame.
