Primer.
I just watched the movie Primer. It's an independent film with a $7000 budget that explores it's own version of time travel. I was completely confused throughout the whole movie. They make absolutely no effort to explain some stuff and if you cough and miss 5 seconds, you have no idea what's going on for the rest of the movie. Actually you can stare at the screen and absorb everything they say and do and you'll still be confused as hell. Then I got on Wikipedia. There's a huge explanation of the film with timelines and how everything played out and theres SO much of the film you just don't get unless you actually memorize the wiki entry. Iwatched the film again after reading the wiki and I could ALMOST understand it.
Anyway. If you want a movie that doesn't just hand you everything on a silver platter I think this is the film for you. You'd never know it had $7k budget. Just be warned you aren't going to understand just by watching the film. The wiki is REQUIRED READING! (I accidently posted this in tilted gaming, Could someone move it to entertainment? Kthx)

Primer is a great film. I learn something new each time I watch it. It is the type of movie I want to recommend to everyone, but I must watch alone, and never recommend to anyone, because so few people have the tolerance for this type of thing. Great, great, thoughtful, intelligent film.
