so. . .I'm watchin' goodfellas. . .
And I noticed that they've censored what looks like an airline ticket near the end of the movie. The scene where Hill tells his mule not to use the phone at home, and she does anyway. There's a black bar that flashes over the ticket that she takes out of her purse. Anyone know what's going on here? Seems silly to censor it, whatever it is.

They probably used a real ticket jacket for an airline that's still around (as opposed to Pan Am or Eastern, for example), and the airline didn't want to be associated with drug dealers on the run. There was most likely a high level phone call made asking for a little consideration for a little consideration. We probably would have heard if the lawyers got involved, but the airline could have made an arguement that they were harmed monetarily by the implication that they were the airline of choice for drug mules and that ticket sales suffered. It's another question altogether as to whether that would be a sucessful arguement, but it very well could have been.

what version of DVD do you have? I have the original double sided DVD where in the middle of the movie you have to actually flip the disc over.... I'll have to check it out tonight when I get home.

I suspect it was done to mimic a documentary style for the film. Scorsese is doing little clever shots and tricks all throughout this movie.
