What's the name of that book?
I was in the Romance Novels thread, and I was going to threadjack and ask there, but I thought I'd try my hand at my first thread-making. I searched and didn't find any others like it, but that doesn't mean I didn't just miss it, so Mods, if I did, please correct me.
I have been looking for a certain book. It was the very first romance novel I read. It was set in the 1800s I believe. The main characters were a man and woman who had a child, but they weren't together anymore. I can't remember if they were divorced or split up. I think she had a hardware store and he owned a factory of some sort where the workers all lived in an encampment or something. It was by a big river, because it overflowed and took the main characters with it. It probably was written in the 90s. Any ideas?

Scarlet Letter?
Just kidding. That's kind of hard to track down - I would try Googling every character and/or plot event that you can and try to find it. Maybe trying a book forum or something?
