I was looking through this weeks releases and saw a ton of asian films finally getting a decent release here in the States. I thought I'd pick out a few of the better rated ones and let everyone know about them. You might have to go to a more specialized store to get Musa the Warrior or Breaking News, but most places should have Howl's Moving Castle and Whisper of the heart, Two very fine animes from Hayao Miyazaki the director of Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.

I liked Jarhead even though I got interupted about 15 times while watching it. I felt like it was trying to be a Full Metal Jacket... or Deer hunter(heh) but it just didn't pack the punch of those movies. It was a good movie, but I doubt I'll remember it a few years from now.

Ok.. Harry Potter.. I thought this was supposed to be the best one? Yah it got pretty good near the end but the beginning and middle felt rushed, There's too many characters to keep up with and jumping from one thing to another it's easy to miss major plot points. I did like Ralph Fiennes as whats-his-name though... It's good but I liked Prisoner of Azkaban better.
