The Shield is one of my favorites, right next to Rescue Me. I didn't get to see last nights yet, Im gonna catch the replay on Sunday. I don't think there has been a character yet that Forrest Whittaker hasn't been able to make me hate. So when the crew duped him by staging that deal with the drugrunners and faked killing that cop, and he fell for it, I was laughin my ass off. I was also hoping that would be the end of him, but no such luck.
The one thing I didn't get was why Mackey's ex wife agreed to talk to him after all the lies he told her, and with Vic asking her not too. And one last thought, does any one here who watches the show miss Antwone Mitchel? He was such an evil SOB, It was great to watch the guys tangle with him, especially with Shayne working both sides. |

SON OF A BITCH!!! The one episode I miss, and all hell breaks loose, including the return of one of my favorite characters. It never failes.
and apperently, we're the only two that watch this show. They don't know what they're missing. |

I would have liked to watch this show from the beginning. A little late on that now.

Finally caught the last episode, and wow. Didn't think I could like Kavanaugh any less than I already did, but I was wrong. I'm just wonderin how the team is going to be able to use his wife against him, now that they know her problem, and her crime.
and Toaster, there is going to be a Shield Marathon on Spike TV starting March 15, which will hopefully start from the first season. |

They will replay it after the new one on Tuesday. The usual replays are Sundays at 10PM Eastern.
I don't know whats going to happen to Kavanaugh, but I hope it is some seriously devious shit, the kind that not only ends his career, but makes him crack so bad he ends up in a mental ward. He seems to be on the edge as it is. |

Only one more episode before the season finale. If they leave this in a cliffhanger, I'm going to go postal. This weeks is definitely toned down from last week, but from next episodes previews, the fit is gonna hit the shan, if ya know what Im sayin.

I don't wanna give the finale away with a bunch of spoilers, so I'll just say if you predicted this is how the season would end, you need to get one of those 1-900 dial-a-psychic hotlines, cuz you're good. The only other time I have been this floored by a season finale was when the 2 doctors on ER got stabbed by the wacko they were treating, and I didn't even like that show.

Holy SHIT. I just watched the entire Shield Season 5 in two sittings. This season is fucked up. The finale blew my mind. Shane went a bit overboard protecting his lifestyle, eh?

I think next season is gonna be the ending of the series. I think Shane will kill himself and leave Vic and Ronnie as the last two members of the Strike Team.

TotalMILF and I watch The Shield all the time. She missed the first season (so we rented it), but I've watched from the start. The season finale was crazy. Kind of what I expected, but not what I wanted.
Oh, and adding a new thread instead of building off of the old thread doesn't increase storage requirements by more than 4-8bytes depending on the SQL backend... and people coming to visit would happen no matter if it was 1 thread or 12 so bandwidth wouldn't be any different. *sigh* |

kidding aside, that was some fucked up shit. shane used to be my favorite character, especially after last season. now I want to kill him myself. I'm kind of dissappointed that Shane killed him. I wish some gang would have, or even Kavanaugh or something. I would like to see the barn's wrath on whoever did it. but it was fucking shane.

Unless I missed something, Shane is still alive and well, at least for now. Lasereth was just saying what he thinks is going to happen next season.
I don't think Shane's actions reflect to much on the rest of the group, as he has been the asshole for 2 seasons now, while Vic and the rest have been playing it clean, except for what they did trying to keep Lem outta trouble. And the conversation between Vic and Ronnie where Vic considers giving himself up because of how his decisions have killed Terry and screwed up Lem's life show that he really does have a conscience. The only member I'm really not sure about is Ronnie, because he isn't a very well developed character, mostly just an extension of Vic. |
