The 3 Short films, Dumplings, Cut, and Box are in Cantonese, Korean and Japanese respectively. Spanish and English Subtitles. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420251/ The only movie I watched this week was the Ice Harvest. It's a black comedy/film noir which I liked. It wasn't the greatest movie but it passed a few hours and alternate endings are always fun even if they aren't radically different from the final version. Featured this week? Asian cinema!! *shoots fireworks* *Cheers* Three Extremes is a collection of 3 short horro films by the great asian directors Takashi Miike, Fruit Chan, and Chan wook Park which you've probably never heard of. Don't worry, you're not alone. I haven't seen anything from any of these directors but I've heard great things about Chan wook Park's Oldboy and Takashi Miike's Audition. It should be noted that these aren't really scary/horror short films, they're just weird :) |
Walk the Line is the only one i'm interested in seeing
|
I would like to see Walk the Line and Pride and Prejudice (only because of Keira Knightley)
|
I haven't heard of Three....Extremes, however, that IMDB page peaks my interest most. I was curious to see The Ice Harvest, simply not enough to get out. I am more a fan of a well-laid story than I am to horror, I will have to look it up.

I'll probably rent both Walk the Line and The Ice Harvest.
I like all things Johnny Cash and John Cusack movies are almost always worth the rental. I was going to see them both in the theater...I just never got around to it. By the way, I like these threads a lot, cybermike. |
walk the line was good in the theater...i'll prob. pick up a copy used in a little while.
P&P might be worth a rent. |
I watched Walk the Line, Pride and Prejudice, and The Ice Harvest in theaters. I have no desire to see the other two. I'll probably end up buying Walk The Line at some point because I loved it. The other two were pretty good, but I doubt I'll ever see either again.

i saw walk the line in a theatre, i've slowly been learning that any movie based on music or a special effects fest have to be seen there.
Other ones look good to me, probably take a chance on them. |
I watched Walk the line and it was decent. I just could not believe Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash. It was like every other movie about famous musicians and the only thing different was the soundtrack. I'm looking forward to Britney spear's biopic because that will be original. Driving with the baby on her lap and going into a public bathroom barefoot... Sigh.. did that imply that britney was a musician?
