My Art Studio Class
 

Hey guys,
I am just starting an art studio class, and i need some help with concept.

Our first project is five sketches of situations in life with movement. this is mainly invisible forces, but can be visible. The demo example was a tree bending in the wind. In a week, I need five sketches, and a scale maquette to work from. We are trying to isolate the essence of the movement, and draw inspiration for our final sculpture. We are using cardboard only for construction, and the finished product will be 8ft in the round.

Thanks for any ideas or inspiring photos you guys would have to share, and I'll make sure to post up my projects as I progress.

a person dancing or running? or even an animal.
A kitten playing with something.
A Flag blowing in teh wind
water splashing (faucet, fountain, etc).
someone playing the piano.

perhaps go through Tilted Photography and see what you find!

My Ideas so Far:
a crushed paper cup
a black hole eating a star
a water drop splash
soundwaves traveling from an impact to an ear
a glass table shattering
a car colliding with a pole

My concept ended up being a rainstorm, we were trying to show movement, I'll post up some pics of my class' work soon.
