First oil painting ever
I'm not done with it... this is the first one I've ever done in my life. I started out with just a blue canvas... then it ended up turning into a winter scene... Just wanted to show yall. Even though I'm not done with it yet, I'm still proud of it. :)

I really like what you did with the blue canvas as a winter scene. It works in this picture. The trees are done well, too.
Congrats. |
Update
Update on the painting... I don't know how it's gonna end up once I'm done with it, but so far I'm liking it! This pic didn't come out very well, it's actually kinda blurry, so sorry about that in advance.

I really like it!
My first oil was trees also. :) |
This is lovely. the scene feels so cold, but the moonlight is really warm. It reminds me of the winter picture books mum read to me when I was little.
I think you're doing a great job Sue! |
atta girl Sue...........i can put this next to the flag you did for me........
awsome |
Sue, this is absolutely beautiful. I love the blue- so calming. I would love to have something like this on my bedroom wall.
|
It's looking good. Are you using something for reference? Keep posting as it comes along
|
Nope, just my own imagination... I'm going to try to work on it some more today at some point, so I'll definitely take a pic and post it up here.
|
the color and composition make it very hypnotic ... Have you thought of making this one of a series?
|
