Love this show, so I had to draw him. Picture is so contrasty because I was drawing from a print out and looks like my printer needs ink :D

Holy hell.. when I first looked at that, I thought it was just a picture in black and white. I've never seen the show, but I DEFINITELY recognize him just from this..

Wow, thank you kindly :) On my weird laptop screen he looks a little smushed, but that's because my screen is pretty rectangle.. Hope it looks okay to everyone else.

I haven't seen House but I always laughed my arse off at his character(s) in Blackadder.

Thanks all for the comments! I'm glad I got the expression down, he should trademark it! My next Hugh drawing will be more "Hugh" than House though (because we all know he has about 20 different sides!) Because he'll be smiling and we all know that House doesn't smile lol :D

I'm actually surprised. I've enjoyed Hugh on "A Bit of Fry + Laurie" and "Blackadder" so to see that he's actually on some serious US television show is a bit of shock. Makes me wish I still watched TV!

A very good portrait indeed. First thing I think of when I see Hugh Laurie is him clucking like a chicken as the prince in Blackadder. Funny stuff.

Wow, excellent work!! Good pushing of the light and darks, clean lines and DEAD ON expression and likeness. Definately one of the best drawings/portraits I've seen posted on the site for a while.

I agree with the others, the eyes are excellent. Nice job of catching the asymmetricality of the face without making it look odd.
