I painted my office

Mom always said, "Don't color on the walls."

Well, I have my own place now. Checkitout.

Magpie0001 04-27-2005 02:16 PM

That is AWETACULAR!!!!!

maleficent 04-27-2005 02:18 PM

First I must say.. topless.. oh :applauds: :big grin:

It's cool looking... but busy... you gonna be able to concentrate with that going on? It's really very neat looking though.... Nice job staying in the lines :D

clavus 04-27-2005 02:45 PM

Ah, yes. I'm suprised that any of the office is visible behind my massive, muscle-bound torso.

I have no trouble concentr...oo! is that a bug? Neat! Hey, want to ride a bike?

ARTelevision 04-27-2005 03:05 PM

Nothing like an art environment.
Cool clavus - sort of a winter camo effect.

kramus 04-27-2005 03:08 PM

tres groovy man, tres groovy!

Lead543 04-27-2005 03:13 PM

That's amazing and very original. Good job!

VarsityDrinking 04-27-2005 03:45 PM

Did you buy that desk from Best Buy/Staples/Office Max?

clavus 04-27-2005 03:47 PM

Nah. I got the desk from some artsy-fartsy furniture store long long ago.

Thanks, all.

hambone 04-27-2005 03:50 PM

Lol that's awesome clavus! :D

Very camouflage like - what inspired these patterns?

blahblah454 04-27-2005 11:29 PM

Wow, that is really, really cool. I like funky paintjobs like that, so much better than drab solid colors.

Who knows. I just started sketching, next thing I knew I was painting. I think it has a very Tim Biskup feel to it.

Great job. I painted my office as well, but nothing like yours! It was the first thing I ever painted and I am about the only one who likes it - most think it is too dark. Usually that is a good sign for me

Astrocloud 04-28-2005 09:50 AM

I think it's very nice.

J-DaWg 04-29-2005 10:39 AM

thats wild .. i'd love a room like that!

clavus 04-29-2005 11:52 AM

Thanks. You have my expressed written permission to paint your room like that.
Materials needed
- (3) Cans of Paint
- Brush
- Roller
- Beer

Directions - Paint the lighter colors before the darker ones. Drink the beer.

FngKestrel 04-29-2005 11:48 PM

Not really art related, but I gotta know. Any amusing mishaps occur during the painting of the room?

Fly 04-30-2005 06:17 AM

looks good clavus..........you sure you didn't drink the beer first?

:D

superiorrain 04-30-2005 07:16 AM

Just goes to show mom isn't always right, usally is, but not always. Important lesson in there somewhere. Good Job, looks awesome.

questone 04-30-2005 04:24 PM

groovy man

cinnles 05-01-2005 03:49 AM

that's pretty cool! Nice work. :)

I painted my room bright yellow. That's about as out there as I can get with decoration these days...

My desk on the other hand is a possibility. I was contemplating using water stains to my advantage, it's a dirty old hunk of maple and the stains go very light.

any wood knowledgeable types recommend against this?

I locked myself inside a can of paint, naked, with nothing but a sawzall and my foul-smelling thumb.

FngKestrel 05-02-2005 12:29 AM

^

At least you weren't hydrating your self with the toilet brush cup this time!

bernadette 05-03-2005 02:44 PM

pfft! what does mom know?

looks fun!

majik_6 05-03-2005 11:02 PM

That's really nice!

I can see the Biskup relation, even if there aren't any freaky twig-armed psychadelic mythical characters!

It almost has a quality reminiscient of Shag (http://www.shag.com/gallery.html) on lsd. Somehow.'

Good show, chap!

Hardknock 05-06-2005 08:44 PM

Wicked!!

I like it!

I could use a desk like that too.
