Ron, your stuff kicks serious ass. I checked out your site, as well as the other link in your sig. I must say that I'm impressed.

I'm curious about your creative process. Obviously you start with sketches (something I need to do more of) and then finish in an art program. What do you use, Illustrator? Also, you have a marvelous "finished" look with highlights and shadows, something that my figure drawings usually lack. Do you use models or are you just htat good at faking them?

Also, I hope you make a living as an illustrator, because you have more than enough talent to do so.

Wow, Thanks Coaster. I scan in my drawings and the do the "inks" and color in Illustrator. I just usually fake the highlights and shadows. I try to imagine a light source and work from there.

On making a living - I'm trying, it's not easy 15 years of doing illustration "on the side" I'm ready to make a real living at it.

Cute. :)

I only see one weird little thing, and thats her hand holding the gun- it just looks a little wonky. Could your hand twist like that?

very professional work. nicely done

Awesome!

Do you use a mouse or do you have some other input device, like a drawing pad?

Also, do you "draw" each line with the pen tool (meaning the inside and outside of the line, thus making it a "shape") or do you just use basic or custom stroke?

Also, (sorry, I just want to improve my Illustrator skillz) about how long does it take you to get a drawing like the one posted after you scan it?

ONE MORE... would you be willing to share (either sell or trade) your actual Illustrator files with a fellow pin-up artist? I'd be willing to trade any of my pinups with you from either this topic that I started or anything else I've done. Sorry, I don't have a website.

Excellent, excellent work!

Can I ask how you make the shadows? I use Illustrator regularly myself but have never found a proper way of making shadows :|
