Thanks! I'll add more as I do them-this is really fun!
in-fucking-credible!
seriously. I've long been a big fan of flowers in art, and i'm a big ng fan. put the 2 together, and it's like magic :) |
The first one overwhelmed me. I'll have to compose myself and come back to it later. Ther one in post 4 is mezmorizing. I can't stop looking at it. You have true talent. Would you mind if I made the art in post 4 the desktop of my computer?
Cool stuff... is the second image what the daffodils looked like originally?

Heh....I already did and it will remain so unless Dawg tells me otherwise....so there |

Use them as you please for personal use-I have no problem with that-art is to be enjoyed and I am more than happy you all are enjoying mine so much. Thank you! :icare: I just had a thought-these were saved for web, so they are very lightweight and may be pixellated. If you would like a TIFF version that's better quality, PM me with an email address that can handle heavy attachments and I will send it. This is for TFP'ers only. All else, $10. |
Much thanks!! Your talent is matched by your grace. I'll enjoy this whenever I am at my computer, which is quite often I must admit.
Absolutely gorgeous, ngdawg! I love that the originals are last, it helps to get the full effect of your artistic manipulations.
Wow! These are wonderful! Did you do this with Photoshop or something else?

I used Photshop and a plug-in called Xero. Xero has a filter called 'titanium', which was the first thing I did to these before going further.
i really like that last one...nice work man
I'd love to see what you could do with tulips
Those pics are beautiful girl :) |
The last one is my favorite. Beautiful work, ng. :)
paper mums?
Great work, ngdawg! Absolutely beautiful.
Wow. These are really awesome. Fantastic work Ngdawg!
Asta!! |
same mums
It never ceases to amaze me that I simply cannot use the same series of steps from one item to another and expect to achieve similar results. The mums are very hard to pinpoint-I couldn't do anything to them that I did to the daffodils. More to come....

Oh! Maybe I should clear up the thread title! I was in chat, remarking that I was getting daffodil juice all over the scanner to which Tecoyah replied, 'There is such a thing as being TOO creative'. :)
ng - i can't stop staring at those last pink mums ... they're haunting.
love it! :icare: |
Tec wanted to see what I painted, so...

when animals and flowers collide
oh, I love this last one ngdawg! fantastic stuff! (#38)
(#36), I found myself looking at this for a long time... she looks like she is scolding me.. amazing! |
I do know that #32 has depths and levels to it that could be gone into for a long time.
Wow, these are so cool.
I should install photoshop, it's been a number of years. And then, I should dearly hope that I can come up with anything even a tenth as good as these. Amazing! |
Damn Dawg.....You are Amazing

I don't impress myself very often. While I'm pleased with results, once I'm done, they're done and I move on. I truly do appreciate everyone who has complimented and I am very grateful to those that have ordered things. That being said, I have, this one time at least, impressed myself. I just printed this out and said DAY-UM. Think I got a keeper here:
This one is really cool ng. I like that depending on how you want to look at it, it is sensual, or full of demons, or of angels, or ...
Georgia o'Keefe gone mad, perhaps... ;)
I have a new desktop......thanx Dawg
Keep telling y'all-these are web-based and pixellated! Gotta ask for the original and I will gladly send it :D

New Scanner!
This a "Little Lost Baby" doll made by Ideal in 1968. She has 3 faces, sleeping, smiling and crying and originally would make corresponding sounds with each face. She is one of several dolls I got from an estate sale.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tsleepAweb.jpg
Chatty Cathy from the same estate sale(I got loads and loads of old dolls from the guy for $150!)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...yspookyweb.jpg |
Oh my god, that brings back terrible memories of a doll I had as a child that scared the shit out of me...why I didn't just throw it away I'll never know.
I love your work ng!!! |

Final doll...for now ;)
OH my god these are so fricken cool! i can use these to scare little children thought they have the inverse effect of on me!
i love the idea. a twist on warhol.
request - a revamp on Warhol's Marilyns, but Ng's instead? and a lot of them, all different expressions. |
ngdawg, those are so cool, keep playing around! Love the Chatty Cathy pic.
i'm really not one for photomanips, or "photoshop art" but since scanning the flowers themself is more like hard or found art, i dig it.

Today I went on a leaf hunt. Most have blight since we got no rain then got inundated, but found a few usable ones. Here's the original scan and its manipulation:
