Your current project.

Hi, I thought having a thread with everyones current unfinished projects where one could ask for advice and/or comments would be nice.

This is what I'm currently working on, it's one of the emblems I'm making for some guy's gaming group. It's like an amulet of sorts, some kind of symbol, for what we can use our imaginations. I think it definately needs the colors smoothed out a bit, and the edges reduced a tad, but I'm thinking of putting something inside to fill up some space there but as of yet haven't decided what. Maybe if it's a physical part of the red frame, or if it's some sort of neato radiating energy I could put in there. Either one works, I think a physical object connected by thin, visible string would look neat, but you also can't go wrong with neato radiating energy either eh?

My humble suggestion:

Don't put anything in the center. Your use of negative space is very powerful in this piece. I think this is pretty kickass as it is.

Damn wish I could post my stuff but I don't own a scanner how much does a scanner cost these days anmyway?

Phaenx 05-27-2003 07:14 PM

Like 20 bucks.

niek 05-28-2003 02:35 PM

depends on the resolution, but you can get a great one for under 100. and a good one for 50.

Well, since you designed this to be a post for people to get suggestions on unfinished pieces.

Here we go...

Hope that worked

If it did, I plan on coloring it and any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

pimpercrobian, that is amazing. I mean, seriously AMAZING. I don't think that I have ever seen a 3-D landscape that realistic or overall as kickass as that one before. What did you use to make that? Honestly, I am absolutely blown away at that.

Okay buddy this is what i think.
-eft hand needs to be planted.
-he girl couldnt use the sites if she were sideways like that, make the pistol tip forward (top first).
-You wouldnt be able to see her crotch like that unless her skirt was completely forced up around her chest. the skirt would simpily fall downward, making a somewhat large vertical object.

analinguist 07-03-2003 08:59 PM

what do you think of my design? its for a 70s funk kinda band.
f it

Tasu 07-03-2003 09:46 PM

The fro makes the woman look like a douchebag, definately give her a rei-ayanami cut

analinguist 07-03-2003 09:49 PM

what kind of cut is that?

Tasu 07-03-2003 11:27 PM

Neck Legnth with bangs,
also the face looks a little manly, you might want to pack some fat on that cheek

I believe everything that I could've said has already been done, so there you go.

Never finished this image...don't even know if I still have the source for it anymore. Always wish I had turned it into something cool and printable...thought it was a pretty neat concept.
