It's very clever, Art. I immediately thought of the Davinci man.
http://www.cs.unc.edu/~hudson/person...avinci-man.gif While likely unintended by you, I see striking similarities. |
yeah, as in man is the measure of all things...
|

Love hte way you did the moustache.. reminds me of a sterotyped french man hehe :) |

I hadn't realized that you drew cartoons.
Your boundless talents never cease to amaze me, Art. Please share more when you can. I enjoy the wry humor in these. |
humor..heck yeah i could use it. and your brand helped, I'm trying to fix a stupid lighter in the car! One cone with 3 wires, one with 4, different color codes, and pieces all over the place!

Hehehe. That last one is hilarious. I can tell by the French guy's expression that he is thinking "oh, not again..." Really great stuff!
|

Thanks ART, just an incredible collection. Wonderful commentary on how many think of their `little buddy'. Still laughing over the last drawing. Who wouldn't want that to mark their final resting place?
|
I really dig the style you've got there...
Not to mention the stuff's hilarious. :D Keep up the good work, man! |
Whoa!
Thanks a Megabyte for the great enthusiasm! It's fun to have fun and make funny art! The only thing though, it does look like the poor bastard died up there in the last one... |
I'll be damned!
This cat has to be on life number 9 by now... http://www.artelevision.com/art_tfp/...nicart_new.jpg |

anyway, you know how that last one was a womb with a view? well this next one is an actual window inside your computer - you can see the little geek that lives and works in there! http://www.artelevision.com/artelevi...sadmin_new.jpg |
Nice stuff Art. I hope to see more of your drawings :)

Thanks. I did serious art for a lot of years. I have a tendency to come off as a serious - even heavy - person - especially online. Well, I suppose in some ways I am. Sometimes I hear I am even a bit intimidating. But when people meet me they often point out that I am funnier than all that in real life. As time goes on, I find I am valuing the humor more and the seriousness less.
Life is short. It gets shorter every day, too. So I'm working on emphasizing the funny bits, such as they are... |

I don't know if coming off as serious and intimidating (on-line) is such a bad thing. Then when you meet people off-line, you can pleasantly surprise them. Thank you for sharing your talents with us! |

Seriously, much more fun than I've been seeing in my Sunday morning rag. I can't imagine where he'll turn up next. |
Now see what we've done!
This whole thing has gone to his head. I suppose it was predictable. Life is short but he seems to think he'll live forever. sheesh... http://www.artelevision.com/artelevi...ery_of_art.jpg |
also predictable:
1. he becomes a legend in his own mind. 2. the first casualty of all this is his mind... http://www.artelevision.com/artelevi...icart_plus.jpg |
