A Chat in the Garden
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a small Whimsy (7" x 5") of a Garden Encounter, which is a relative of the thread http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/tilted-...ml#post2743565 I'm starting this thread because I'm procrastinating - there is a painting on the easel that I'm feeling a little burned out about but I feel like I ought to act as if I'm still producing :o

Ahoy Kramus!
I somehow missed this. I want to know more about these two and their relationship. Also, what pencils do you use? I have always admired your colors. |
missed this too...you are an amazing colorist!
Keep working, I know how you feel. Sometimes all you make isn't quite right, but perseverance will eventually pay off. That being said, I love this piece, the snail is perfect. |
Howdy Great Hamburger :) It is nice to have the thread get some feedback. When an art thread sits lonely and empty it almost seems like it shouldn't even be there :(
I don't really know the relationship of these two. I merely noted that there was some sort of interaction and recorded it here. The best I can do is ask anyone who considers these two garden denizens to share what they think the relationship is. re pencils - the ones I use mostly are Prismacolour, but they are buttressed by both Crayola and Laurentian depending on the colours I want. There are about 24 colours I tend to use - they are separated into 2 packs which I tend to keep in my shoulder bag. The Crayolas I picked up in a grocery store a few years ago did a fine job as far as I'm concerned. Check out Back to School. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...lcopyright.jpg I've bought uber-cheap pencils that really lay no colour down at all. You don't really know what you get until you start drawing. If you look closely you will see that almost every colour is made up of different pencils mixing and matching within the colours. Makes it brighter and livelier somehow. Hi little tippler. Thanks for the kind words :) I am struggling with a painting right now. It has been days with little movement, and I am running out of time to produce real work before the show on the 25th. Yikes. Wish me luck. |
You can do it Kramus!
I really love just how you are able to capture personality so absolutely. I don't think I've ever walked away from one of your artpieces without feeling like the lines on the page were much much more than just lines. And I'd love to have one of your wall pieces someday - my whole living room is just a bunch of empty walls. |
