some more fun for the weekend
5 Attachment(s)
I managed to get some colour in these drawings today. There isn't much time till the weekend art show, and I still have to make up price cards and such. My Lady feels that my doing a craft show is like some musical prodigy doing car commercials. Ah, it's great being loved  I guess if that is how to get some people to look at the work then I do a craft show, right? At least it is all experience. I am not so caught up in being An Artiste that I refuse to work unless there is suffering and angst and an outpouring of polysylabic critique and analysis.
I enjoyed doing these. Fine line markers and pencil crayons - finished size about 9" x 11" each. Slow Dancers, Friends, Tree Turtle, Snake Turtle and Leap Frog |
You did a frog, you are my new favorite person. I love frogs and this one is cool.
The dragon is gorgeous. I hope you are making some good money from these, all of them have been awesome thus far |
Kramus, you have shown you have skill in both "quickie" drawing and thoughtful, process driven art. I can easily see the "cheaper" version helping to build a fan base that can appreciate the more intricate levels of your bigger pieces. So yes, an art show won't sell your biggest pieces, but it will gain you exposure and some very nice drawings in their own right :)

Kramus... I like all of these but really love the perspective on the last one. It's really cool.

Your use of color amazes me.

you´ve found a practical use for dragons :D
|
Awesome.

Thanks folks :)
lotsofmagnets, I sold the dragon - so make that 2 practical uses for them. I didn't make money, but the booth was paid for. Plus some new contacts came from the show. Not to mention what amonkie said about gained experience and some nice drawings added to the mix. |
Oh man, can I use that Frog on a Homebrew Label sometime? That is exactly the angle I needed, and really really well done...
