Off to School
 

My lady and I are kicking around an idea for a book. The drawings may not be fine art, but here are a couple of strong possibilities we are looking at for representing the imaginary world of a young boy. The actual sizes of each drawing is about 11" x 7-1/2" (28 cm x 18 cm). They are a combination of good ol' coloured pencils and technical drawing markers. I think they are fun :)

These are awesome, as always Kramus - i seriously think you could get into having them in a smaller Kid's Furniture/ decorating gallery. They are so whimsical ...

have you thought of calling some children's publishers? They may have authors in search of artists.

Those are great! I am sure my son would love to read whatever book they are in.

Regarding the children's publishers route, I've actually picked up a package from a Childrens Publishing Group, and am culling the listings in order to know what sort of master mailing (snail mail for some, email for others) I need to come up with in order to let the possibly interested publishers know I exist. I sent a bunch of emails out a while back, but upon further research it appears I need to target and refine my mailings more.
I like that phrase "hallucinated color" Mister Coaster :thumbsup: Backgrounds would come when it seems it would be worth my time to invest lots and lots of hours into these drawings. These are prototypes showing main characters right now.
And Shani - I like the eyelashes too. I may add them to the slender dinosaur now that you've brought it to my attention. Thanks.

shoot, forget a publisher, that nifty thing called iBook will do all the work for you so you can get yourself started pre-publisher.

I can easily see these in a children's book that people buy because the art is actually really good.
