The little blonde girl taking a drink? :D
I like this a lot!!! Glasses=you? |
easy man............nice shades.
great vid dude........keep the tunes comin' baby.............love it |
Great work! My only comment is the voice doesn't seem to match the kind of singing. Its just my opinion, but I imagine there are other ways to deliver the lyrics that better suit the voice.

Thanks for the kind words.

All of the stock footage is from various "Reefer Madness" type films from the 50's and 60's and are in the public domain. They seem to fit with the preacher very well. Check the "Prelinger Archives" for more goodies in that vein. Quote:

That was really cool, D.! :D
Say, did you guys ever consider to: a) using old video clips only b) shoot yourselves in B/W ? |
The old clips match the tone for "the preacher" so Amy (the director) used the old footage to set us apart from him. Plus, it's interesting to note that while the styles have changed, kids (and adults) haven't changed all that much. We (the band) are stuck somewhere in between.
We did do a few shots of us in black and white (the near/far shots for instance). I'm not sure what Amy's reason for color vs. black and white was. I'm sure she had one ... those film school kids always have their reasons. |
Well, here's the second video. This is for a song called "Apes."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ-ZFQtwAGg It was written and directed by our lead singer: Jason. Camera work by Amy again. I did all of the editing and synching under the direction of Jason. I did a LOT of micro edits to get the song to line up with the singing. Of course, YouTube screws that up, but it would have been far, far worse if I hadn't synched it. I also did a lot of color manipulation. It's subtle enough overall, but there are a few spots where it's very obvious. Jason wanted these to be static shots, almost like a postcard or a picture. Only he knows why. |
nice man........dig your work.......good stuff.
you plan on any more vids........? |
Thanks.
Yep. We're planning a third one, but it probably won't be out until Spring. We're trying to do a video for every song on the record. We'll see where that goes. Several people have expressed an interest in doing a video for us, but so far they are too busy or require more budget than we have. ($0). |
Cool video, D., but I must confess that I liked Devastortion a lot more.

I've been giving it a lot of thought and..it would be a bit easier to come up with a concept if I had the lyrics, I think... |
Cool! I'm looking forward to this ... my first TFP collab!
Lyrics: http://www.chessclubrocks.com/words/boy.html They're very simple :). |
