Wanna Do a Weekly or Monthly original?
So, we have original works in Artwork, we got'em in Photography, where every week a subject is tackled.
Anyone want to try original PS's? It'd work thusly: A suggestion, ie; face or Picasso and you post your interpretation here. Original compositions, no googling and manipulating, altho you could use pieces of your own making, such as collaging your own photos into a piece (because not all of us can draw, of course). Not for critcism, just to challenge ourselves, the PS lovers. OK...this will either die or take off...my record is iffy.... Challenge: Nature http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...raindropsm.jpg |

well i'm not much with PS, but i used to be decent with bryce and 3dsmax, this is my first atachment, so i'm not sure if i did it right. and yes its nature, just not our nature.
oh yeah, nice drops too, all purdy and blue, how'd you do the rippling? |
Lol that's creepy dilbert1234567; I see all that red then look at your sig of "Donate Blood!" :)

Kinda what the 'fortnightly' thread was about wasn't it?
Good pieces of work both of you :aww: Hrmm nature.. guess I could.. darn it.. that's studio max.. XD Oh well.. Bah, post it anyways :P http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...nOuroboros.jpg Ok, so only photoshopping done on this was the caustics map ^^ That enables the light to form rays as it does :aww: |
Good works. Photoshopping is general, really. Some use Gimp, some use Paint, etc. The basic idea is a completely computer-generated and original image.
The water ripples is kind of easy as it only takes a few filters, but over and over. I use distort/twirl and distort/zigzag-pond from center. To get the glossy look, I then use the sketch/chrome and then edit/fade, followed by some boosting with brightness/contrast.(The drop shadow of the main raindrop was added before the final twirl and zigzag) The sky is a dual gradient of blue and white then using the liquefy tool to soften into clouds. I'm really impressed with the detail of the Mars dome. |
WOW. these are incredible, folks. I was going to make something (and I probably still will) but it is not going to be anywhere near this professional. I hope that it won't be offensive or drag the thread down too much to have something done by an amateur...

Genuine,
Just do whatever, it won't drag anything down, if I can at all help or give advice I will (I hope you don't mind constructive criticism ^^). Either way it will be enjoyed :D |

So, I just had a little fun with Microsoft Paint, then put it through a filter on Photoshop. I like how it turned out. Really, a fun first attempt. This computer art thing isn't as frightening as I expected.
