What would you rather your man say?

I'm new here, so forgive me for any faux-pas I might make.

My question is one that I've been asking various women after a discussion I had with my hubby. When I met him he used the term "hump" for having sex. He also had juvenile words for other "naughty bits" that I won't go into here.

The point here is would you rather hear "hump" or "f***"? As in "Hey, babe, you wanna hump?" or "Hey, honey, are we gonna f*** tonight?"

I agree that neither is that romantic, but considering men these days, you don't always get to have a really good choice on this.

(BTW:
I don't know how to start a poll, so just add your thoughts on the matter. And pardon the * in f***, but I dunno the rules on typing certain naughty words. Thanks.)

maleficent 12-08-2005 04:48 AM

Poll added... :)

Humping is something a dog would do against your leg... I'm not an overly romantic person... but asking to fuck just seems a little crass to me... unless it is truly fucking - which to me is sweaty, hot, dirty and nasty... ya know.. fun!!! But there are times when I want a kinder gentler approach...

ngdawg 12-08-2005 05:28 AM

Both are pretty crass as far as requests go. We always said 'fool around' and leave the nastier talking to the 'during'.

shesus 12-08-2005 05:55 AM

JJ and I have an 'inside' signal for teh sexy sex act. We will either say there will be *insert signal here* or there will be no *insert signal here*....

Very rarely is it the latter. I don't like the word hump it seems juvenile to me and fuck insinuates no love in the act. I guess if I had to go with words...I'd say 'do me'. To the point, not vulgar...and it usually gets the desired results. ;)

Well I might be one of the few, but I really don't mind the use of fuck, and it's okay to say that here Naked Communist. :) As with everything it depends on the mood, but generally speaking I tend to like the use of fuck. But yeah, unless you're in a silly/funny kind of mood, using "hump" to initiate sex is pretty juvenille. and like mal said, there's nothing wrong with letting your guy know you wish he would use something different if it bothers you. :)

JustJess 12-08-2005 08:24 AM

We tend to say booty, or gettin' it on, or fuckin' if that is the mood... Generally most terms are said (no pun intended) tongue in cheek.
A lil' somepin' somepin'...

but mostly, if we're really asking, we're asking in kisses - you know you kiss differently when you want some than when you don't. ;)

abaya 12-08-2005 08:26 AM

I like to fuck, and I don't mind hearing/saying the word in a hot 'n steamy request.

Hump, no... that reminds me of "dry humping" or something else dumb like that. :)

One of my favorites from my bf, though, is "I want to be inside you right now." ooooh that one makes me weak in the knees. :D

EDIT: JustJess is right, most of the time no words are said... just a shift in mood when one of us starts getting more intense about kissing... mmm I like that.

SiN 12-08-2005 08:37 AM

I pretty much agree with the above sentiments ..

'hump' is quite juvenile, 'fuck' is acceptable, depending on circumstances, but often nothing needs to be said, it just .. happens :)

eMOTIONal20 12-08-2005 10:00 AM

I can agree that "fuck" is acceptable... and the "i want to be inside you right now..." is even more acceptable. ;)

None of this "baby," "babe," "honey" stuff though. I know it was just an example, but when I think of my SO calling me any of those, it makes me feel sick and quite turned off.

how about just a... "i want to fuck you right now/tonight/etc"..?

snowy 12-08-2005 02:08 PM

I've never heard my SO say either of those things, and I certainly hope he never does. Oh, sure, occasionally he'll say "I want to fuck you so hard" but that's all heat of the moment type stuff. Usually the two of us just say, "How about some sex?" and get down to it. Nothin' fancy. I like honesty. :)

Grasshopper Green 12-08-2005 02:13 PM

Sorry sis, I just can't keep from giggling at your nick...

I don't like either really. We are like snowy...we just call it sex :)

I don't put up with it, Maleficent. My hubby is a good guy, but a tad juvenile sometimes. But he no longer says "hump", thank god. Usually, I'm like snowy and my sis (medusa) - I ask if he wants to have sex.

But, if on the spur of the moment he's horny or I'm horny, I gotta go with fuck. It doesn't bother me if I'm in a relationship with the person. Of course, if a guy came up to me in a bar and tried a line like that, I'd be pissed. But if a guy came up and said 'hump' I'd probably bust out laughing.

PS: I liked the "be inside you" line. Thats kinda hot, hehe.

Sweetpea 12-08-2005 11:34 PM

"let's be naughty tonight!!" or "feeling sexy baby??" or "hey hottie, let's go into the bedroom..." is the normal verbage we use.... i've been know to ask for a nice long fuck too... but 'hump', eh, no thank you ;)

rlynnm 12-09-2005 01:14 PM

I wouldn't mind the fuck me request coming from someone I loved. Cause once in a while, you just get into one of those moods where that's what you need --a good fuck, sweaty, aggressive, where you expect the noise to resonate to the other room haha. I'd oblige and be the requestor of that particular act most especially after a heavy amount of stress. And of course there are moods for lovemaking, a bit slower, sweeter etc.

rlynnm 12-09-2005 01:20 PM

I agree with sweetpea though, no one the word 'hump'

Meditrina 12-09-2005 07:33 PM

We don't use words at all. His signal to me is usually that he wants to 'go to bed' early. Kinda like tonight. On the rare occasion, he will say something during the act.

5757 12-09-2005 07:40 PM

I chose something else. I'd rather not say anything at all and just get to it. It's all in the eyes baby. Now, if I've been drinking, that's different. I wouldn't mind hearing "lets fuck" if I'm drunk. My SO says suck me sideways sometimes. I think it's the cutest darn thing. Hmm, I guess it just matters how attracted you are to your SO and what the situation is.

nickynicole 12-10-2005 02:33 AM

I generally hear "I wanna be on you," quoted from the movie Anchorman. We really need to work on some variety. If he used "hump" I would probably start laughing, and reference to a speed hump would be even more funny.

noodle 12-10-2005 10:36 PM

I love it most of the time when my boyfriend tells me he wants to fuck me. There's this huskiness and almost a growl in his voice. I feel powerful and somewhat sexy because of the insinuation that I'm driving him to the brink of control. :) Usually, we have our own little inside joke about "you want some armpit?" which is me curling up with my head on his chest. And neither of us can just leave it at that, most of the time. We're pretty in sync, though... eye contact across a group of people and we're up and out of there at the same time. I think his friends are figuring it out.

kylie 12-11-2005 12:18 AM

i dont like both cos they sound so animal wise . sorry hehe i think it is enough if he start fooling around with you and you can sense he wants it. but if he asks me i would prefer the one that i want to be inside of you . very sexy one

genuinegirly 12-11-2005 12:27 AM

Well, to be honest, if he said either of those things, I would smack him upside the head and not talk to him for a week. We don't discuss these things. Not verbally, at least. We use the official American Sign Language for that one... more fun and more discrete.

It is VERY hot. I use it towards him, too.. "I want you inside me right now." Of course, ktspktsp has all kinds of ways of telling me he wants to fuck me... :) and sometimes, we just say "I wanna fuck you," with that huskiness that fredweena spoke of. I love hearing that.

He also knows that I am horny when I start kissing him like crazy and play with his package... and if his dick responds in kind, it is ON. :) So yeah, I'd say most of the time, it is a non-verbal request like that. But I love the words, when he uses them. :icare:

I wouldn't figure any reason his dick wouldn't respond in kind and then some hahaha. I don't recall being with a man, kissing him/fondling him and he say 'Oh no honey, not right now, I gotta work on the bills y'know'....

Verbage is a wonderful thing to get the imagination running, but nothing beats initiation by touch.

Supple Cow 12-12-2005 12:31 PM

I picked "something else" but I really mean "anything". Now that I think of it, I've probably used the world "hump" more than any man I've ever slept with, but then I also use it to literally mean humping - not necessarily sex. (I happen to think humping is pretty fun and generally prefer the middle school style making out and humping to other forms of foreplay. Hmm, then again 90% of foreplay for me is just thinking about having sex on the way to bed !) Lately, the most common requests to be heard around the house are "let's bang," "do me," or "let's fuck." I mean, this is the kind of thing I like to change up. Just this morning I said, "I want to jump your bones."

*shrug*

It's never really a big deal unless it's a specific phrase that reminds me of someone I don't want to be thinking about when I'm trying to have sex. It's all about associations.

Lead543 01-05-2006 11:00 AM

hump reminds me of that black eyed peas song...

*shudders*

streak and i have.... code phrases.... teehee

I must totally and unequivocally agree with Naked, her hubby is a juvenile bugger hahah. C'mon babe, at least I admit it :). And I must thank all of you for responding to her post, I have been swayed/coerced/guided/forced/talked/shepherded/taught/shown/ and most importantly convinced. So much so, that I promise never to use the "H" word again. *raises hand* so help me ummmm, errr, "insert favorite deity here". Love you babe.

Apache 01-09-2006 06:09 PM

hump was a term we used in jr. high when we thought we were sooo cool :D
if my hubby wants me I want him to let me know it and it doesn't bother me for him to tell me he wants to fuck me! It's a turn on for me. :D

SexKitten69 01-13-2006 08:03 AM

its more like me saying to my guy, hey ababy wanna fuck tonight or bone or screw or rod lol we have looads of diff words for it but we just do it n e way, we'll be in the middle of an arguement and end up fucking or like ill say soyeah anyway wanna bone? in the middle of a conversation as a joke and we'll end up doin it! :P

sexymama 01-13-2006 10:07 PM

We've never "humped." Frequently we make love. Sometimes we "do it." And frequently, when really hot, we "fuck."

Nancy 01-20-2006 01:10 AM

We never ask oneanother directly if the other wants to have sex. Either it just suddenly happens or a special act provokes it like kissing or a massage. When we do tell oneanother via phone/sms that we're in the mood we always use the word kneppe (fucking) which is the word we both prefer.

Jaca 02-05-2006 11:12 AM

Regardless of what we call it in the heat of the moment (because you can't ever be faulted for passionate outbursts), one of us just *knows* when the other wants it. But personally, I find the outright request to be a bit of a turn-off.

Babes 02-07-2006 05:35 PM

I do not hump. Tex does not hump. We make love, we make the sqeaky (a reference to the dorm beds. hehehehe), and we fuck occasionally, but we never ever hump.

I agree with the kiss idea though. I can definately tell a change in the kisses. They get longer, harder, and much more passionate.

ariekitten 02-08-2006 03:35 AM

i think maleficent hit the nail on the head. fuck (to me) implies hot, sweaty, dirty, rough, that kinda sex. so if he wants that, then he can use fuck, but if not, he better say it alot nicer. a few i've heard that are alright: "wanna get it on?" or "wanna do it?". i don't like the word hump at all, unless i'm saying "happy hump day!"

astrahl 02-10-2006 12:27 PM

I concur with most of the responses above. Hump = dog on leg, Fuck = act of doing or being done, can be taken as "I just wanna perform this act of sex and not really BE with you specifically, I just want sex."

I prefer to hear, "I want you." THAT is sexy.
With an intense gaze, look me right in the eyes and say, "I want you," and my panties are SO off.

Kind of funny and a bit screwy for me to say but, I say to my boyfriend all the time, " Hey, good looking, wanna fuck," or when I'm really horny I just grab him and say, " I want you to fuck me good."

He blushes everytime but tries to be cool about it. But then I like physical moderately rough sex rather than the stuff you see on soft porn.

JustDoll 02-18-2006 08:06 PM

i like when he says, "you make me wanna rape you..." :D hehehehe

MelanieDaGal 02-19-2006 01:00 PM

definitely something else.

pyreglow 02-19-2006 02:28 PM

i chose something else as well
