Men's Cologne: What Do You Like?

Hello Lovely Ladies :)

I recieved a PM from one of our fine Male Members, who is curious to know what scents us women really like on our men.

And, tbh, I think that's a good topic :)

So c'mon, let's help the men make themselves even more irresistable to us! :D

:icare:

Cool Water is awesome...we're talking "drop your panties" sexy :D

Curve is also very nice. *nods*

sillygirl 04-11-2004 03:02 PM

Aqua di Gio by Armani  Too bad the ex husband wears it (or at least WORE it)

Luki 04-11-2004 04:50 PM

Polo

Old Spice

isis 04-11-2004 04:52 PM

I second the Aqua di Gio or whatever.

Even Axe bodyspray is awesome .. I never can get enough of it. Just remember - don't OVERUSE! Too much cologne is almost as bad as not wearing deodorant. ;D

04-11-2004 05:34 PM

mmmmmm...

Gravity, and Calvin Klein's Crave...

jRuntlets 04-11-2004 08:54 PM

Personally I'm a fan of Eddie Bauer's Adventurer. Though I also really like Cool Water.

I'm not a freak about a dude having a designer scent, Tide laundry detergent works just as well - because I know he washes his clothes. I just like the smell of a man's skin when it's clean.

diddagirl 04-11-2004 08:59 PM

Curve and Claiborne Sport. Mmmmmm

*Nikki* 04-11-2004 09:04 PM

I like all the bath and body products for men. Cheap and they smell awesome. Not to strong.

minyn 04-11-2004 11:20 PM

AGUA di Gio all the way!!! i can pick guys out in crowds who wear it. its great

(oh snap! Forget this was Ladies Lounge. My bad!)

Nancy 04-12-2004 06:58 AM

Armani Mania is the best so far so I make my loverboy wear it all the time :D

onodrim 04-12-2004 07:02 AM

Cool Water is great, and I have to admit I love the way Axe smells, the commercials don't lie. :p

lurkette 04-12-2004 07:07 AM

I have to say I'm not a great fan of men's cologne - probably because most men who wear cologne wear WAY too much of it. So my advice would be whatever you wear, wear it in MODERATION. Those of us who are about to get into an elevator with you, thank you from the bottom of our fragile olfactory systems.

amonkie 04-12-2004 07:15 AM

Had a perry ellis I really liked, but don't remember the specific name

Averett 04-12-2004 08:14 AM

I have no idea... I do know that I can't stand Tommy. UGH! I know a good smelling guy when I smell him... but beyond that, no clue. Like lurkette said, moderation fellas.

Rubyee 04-12-2004 08:26 AM

Hugo Boss is the best.

God, I'll give you a big AMEN on that.
Seems like every time I tell a guy I like his cologne, he always goes and puts MORE on. I had an ex that would douse himself in his cologne...I mean, absolutely douse himself in it...and even sprayed some on my shirt to "remind me of him". Yeah...now I get sick every time I get a whiff of that cologne, just because of the overwhelming memory scent and the bad memories associated with that ex.

I enjoy Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men, Curve, and Swiss Army.

I know what you're talking about. I know a guy who absolutely BATHES in his cologne... I used to like it, but now.. not so much. He also bathes in Axe...

Some guys wear too much cologne, I think, because they don't bathe often enough (maybe I'm wrong?). I absolutely love the smell of a clean guy, right out of the shower. Yum.

jazz 04-12-2004 04:54 PM

Aqua di Gio and Curve..yummy

mmm, definitely. I can't remember the brand, but there's this soap that smells a bit like fresh linen. One of the best smells ever.

And agreement on moderation... I've noticed different colognes affect me differently, though...crack can spray on the exact amount of Cool Water or Hugo (well, at different times, obviously); the CW won't bother me, but the Hugo will give me a headache.

raeanna74 04-12-2004 05:39 PM

Brut, Preferred Stock, or Stetson I like best. Hubby has worn those 3 but sticks to Brut the last few years.

qtpye4u84 04-12-2004 10:45 PM

Aqua di Gio
DKNY is my fav though.
Brut smells good.

tinkerbell 04-13-2004 12:30 AM

I LOVE versace men and georgio beverly hills for men.

Any man who asks me for a recommendation on cologne, I always mention these two. And yes, in moderation only. :)

Does anyone else like this? I haven't met any other girls who like this cologne. I'm just interested to see.

04-13-2004 04:58 PM

Nothing too heavy. I love Obsession and also Adidas- both of which my husband has worn or wears now.

cherriesue 04-13-2004 10:28 PM

Liz Claiborne's Curve & Aqua di Gio

InTeGrA77 04-14-2004 07:09 AM

I agree with all the agua di gio ladies...

It's fucking DIVINE. I remember walking to class at college and getting a whiff of someone walking by wearing that, stopping, and then contemplating following them home. Mmmmmm...........

Oh, and I fucking HATE the axe sprays. My roommate wears one and I fucking gag every time. Just so no to AXE.

My grandpa used to wear that, so whenever I smell it, I think of him.

hunnychile 04-14-2004 05:04 PM

Polo is dangerously wonderful but too many men wear too much of it. Less is more with Polo. It smacks of wild sex!

Currently I Love Roger & Gallet, Paris....but it's hard to find and extremely expensive. Best to pick up at the Duty free shops returning from Europe.

SixEdxMia 04-14-2004 07:59 PM

MMmmmmmmmmmm...Curve. The smell of his shirt made me want to eat him alive...

anti fishstick 04-15-2004 07:59 PM

that's easy. i like whatever Will wears. and not just because he's my boyfriend. i don't like most colognes because they're too strong and i don't like strong fragrance in general. i'm really picky with scents but his is actually really good. i don't know what it is though...

Angel 04-16-2004 04:14 PM

I love the scent of a man who smells clean. And I love it when they have just enough cologne on that it entices my senses and sends me wondering if he placed a small dab down where it matters. ;) And when I can catch a lingering touch of him on me after we have been together I get chills. I ALWAYS comment when a man smells nice. I will tell them point blank that they smell good.

Many of the "popular" ones that have already been named I will second. Just today one of the guys at worked smelled especially delicious and I told him he smelled nummy and asked him what it was. He was wearing Envy by Pierre Cardin. I made a mental note to get some of that for my sweetie. YUM! :D

Maleigh99 04-20-2004 08:51 AM

Eternity and Hugo.

NetterButter 04-20-2004 11:20 AM

eternity and escape all the way!

something about cologne on a guy...and then he gives you his shirt and you just melt.

But if he is going to wear it, then Obsession.

la petite moi 04-21-2004 06:48 PM

Totally natural. I love his smell after a shower. Or whenever.

Just...totally natural. (And maybe some of that fufuwater for an occasional funtime.)

maleficent 05-03-2004 06:26 PM

Irish Spring Soap - that's it -- too much cologne, no matter how good it smells, is overpowering, on men or women, so soap and water is just perfect.
