Cinchers and why i want one

So im looking for a little input becuase im thinking about buying a tummy cincher. Im not overweight but i have enough of a tummy that i do not feel comfortable to wear most of my summer dresses. Im not lacking physical confidence but it just annoys me enough and its really feels like a waste to not wear them becuase it is a bit bothersome. Does this make me shallow or vain?

just was wondering becuase i dont want to seem vain or that i lack confidence. its just one little thing that i cant quite rid myself of and yea.... i feel stupid about it.

If it makes you feel better about yourself, I say go for it.

txlovely 04-09-2004 05:55 PM

Why feel stupid? That's nuts - I'm with isis... if it gives you confidence and makes you feel good in your clothes, why not?

sexymama 04-10-2004 06:48 AM

Another vote for if it is right for you, do it.

jRuntlets 04-11-2004 08:55 PM

Go for it, I say. If you find them comfortable and they make you feel sexy, more power to ya! :)

SparklingDot 04-11-2004 10:17 PM

I think it is better to look good in your clothes and feel confidant than to be uncomfortable or preoccupied with how you look. I say go for it. if you feel comfortable and beautiful, it shows.

I won't wear anything that I feel shows the wrong aspects of my body. I don't consider it shallow or vain, just tasteful.

Hey, nothing wrong with wanting to look youir best and feel good about yourself!

And I hope you get the new job. Good luck!

gabshu 04-15-2004 05:27 AM

awesome! go for it!

Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to feel your best. There is nothing the least bit shallow or vain about that. Besides, a LITTLE vanity never hurt, it keeps you aware of who you are and what you desire in you, which in turn reflects in your self image and how you present yourself.
Good luck on the hooters job. :)

I think you should. I think I should lol.

You know, I'm thinking about not getting a cincher when I'm older, but corsets. They're sexy, and if you get one that's made to fit you well, they aren't all that uncomfortable.

minyn 04-22-2004 02:52 PM

i currently have a corset i wear clubbing which i love to death. i dont wear that specifically to make my body smaller (cuz if you do when clubbing you pass out i found and that sucks) however, they just look good, leave a lot to the imagination.

mydragonfido 04-28-2004 10:31 PM

I am overweight and I find whatever makes you feel better go for it! Corsets for skinny or fat still are sexy.

I was thinking the same thing. Is it something like a corestte?
Just curious... cuz I'm looking for a nice corsette for my own maniacal purposes. :)

jRuntlets 05-12-2004 02:23 PM

Cinchers, if I remember correctly are - like - a corset, but don't cover your breasts, or have straps. Mainly they 'cinch' the waist.

A corset has straps and covers everything. (waist to boobs)

A merrywidow covers everything (waist to boobs) but doesn't have straps.
