How long do you girls normally wait before having sex with a new partner??

no certain amount of time... just wait til it feels right

well... my general rule of thumb is to wait 2 months... that way i know if the guy is interested in me for me or me for sex.... most guys won't wait 2 months if they just want to get laid.... that being said, most of my friends wait between 2-4 weeks.... not that i'm a prude but... the method worked for me... i've been with the guy who waited the 2 months for 2 and a half years now...

Whatever I'm in the mood for...sometimes I don't want to wait...sometimes I'm in a prudish mood and won't have sex for weeks. It just depends on the situation and how I feel.

It depends on the situation. Right now, I think I would be ready now! It's been awhile.

For religous reasons, I'm waiting till marriage to have sex. But, if it weren't for that, I'd say whenever both people feel comfortable with it, and its clearly communicated. I don't think there can be a set time, every single relationship is different.

hrmmm... used to be I'd wait quite a while... (at least 2 months) ...but the way my current relationship started it was right away. Can't deny that, but we're both happy and I know we'll be together for a very very very very long time. So good things come out of strange beginnings. :)

Sometimes I waited, sometimes I didn't. But I made a promise to myself about this very topic. I'm going to wait at least until there is a ring on my finger, if not until after I'm married again. What can it hurt?

Unfortunately my hormones still outweigh logical thinking at this point in my life.

interesting that no one's mentioned yet to wait until you've got proof that you and the other are free from STD/HIV.

granted, at one point, i didn't care about such things, but now i think it's smart to keep such things in mind.

other than that tho, just depends. on the people, the situations, etc.

I try to wait until I have a pretty good feeling for what the other person is like, what their intentions are, are they truly interested, am I truly interested in them?

There are a few factors involved. I don't have a certain time frame that I restrain myself to. I think if I did, I would spend most of the time thinking about the "big day" and spend enough time thinking about the real issue at hand, which for me is compatibility.

i don't guess i feel like there is a set time.... i guess when both the involved people feel ready and are comfortable with each other

i have to go with my roommate on this one. i want to know that both of us are comfortable with each other. i want to know that we really care about one another and that sex isn't going to change us or our relationship. std's are a concern, but if i care about a guy enough (which i do now) and know that i will probably end up staying with him, i'm willing to take the chance.

I think it all boils down to if the timing is right myself. I also like to know a little about them first, as far as STD's go.

There isn't a set time limit...when it feels right you just know. Sometimes it is fast and sometimes slow - depends on the man and the moment.
