I'm just about 5'7. I wish I were 5'9 though... I just wear heels to compensate. Like Prince! hahaha... If I were automatically that tall, I'd be an amazon in heels, so I guess I'm pretty happy. I'm already taller than my husband in heels so...

I'm 5'8. Or taller. I have friends/family to who claim to be 5'10 and I swear I'm as tall as they are. So either they're lying or I'm taller than I think.

I'm 5'2'' (i think). I'm the shortest person i know, and buying pants is a pain. Thank god for those express short jeans and my grandmother who can hem all the other ones! I do wish I was a little taller, though.

I am 5'5, which is actually considered above average for a femals. I dont really think height usually has that much of an effect on the age people percieve you to be. It's more the type of face you have. A baby face- with chubby cheeks on a short person- would definitly make em look young. But witha face that looks your age- i think people can usually tell..you are just on the shorter side.

I'm 5'3. (diddagirl- I'm fairly sure that the average female height is 5'5, actually.) nwlinkvxd is 5'7, so we're perfect together. :love:

I'm 5'2" and I really like being short - actually I'd like to be a little shorter, I've always though an even 5' would be nice. It feels to me like being a compact car - I can fit into small spaces and it just feels kind of neater or something, hard to explain. :)

The only thing that kind of pisses me off is occasionally when I'm with a group of tall people and they talk over the top of my head and ignore me. That makes me mad and I leave.

I don't have the problem with pants because my legs are proportionately quite long but the problem I run into is once I sit down I'm a midget and can't see over stuff. :lol:

It's interesting for me to read what you other short women here are saying about men because my boyfriend is 6'2" and he's by far the tallest guy I've been with, so it's a bit of an adjustment for me because I'm not one to cuddle up next to some big guy. I tend to like guys that are more in proportion to me, usually no taller than 5'10" or so. I've adjusted to his size very well though, and he doesn't usually seem tall to me anymore. I'm also pretty small all over and I prefer to be with skinny guys.

5'6" and feel great about it. My sisters are 4'11", 5'1" and 5'2" so I'm tall for my family. That is kind of fun.

Hinders me a bit since I'm going for Air Hostess jobs.. Fortunately 'Emirates' don't have a height restrction.

Kind of annoying though, since I missed out on a lot of other closer airlines because of it.

I am somewhere between 5'9'' and 5'10'', seems like it's changed since I've had my kids...posture and my back being a bit out of sorts!! I like my height, a lot has to do with my structure. I am big boned, and I weigh a bit more then 'average' so I hide my weight well by having more area to cover it with ;). My hubby and I are just about the same exact height, but I will admit I like the standing on tip-toes to kiss thing a bit too ;)

I'm 5'4'' and could use being a little taller...but I wouldn't say I'm short. I'd just like to have that "long" look some girls have, if you know what I mean. But a good pair of heels always helps :P

I'm about 5'1" and i dont have my grandma here to hem up my pants. Gawd, she's really good at it too. I have the same problem with finding pants that fit just right. I'm short and petite, and to be honest, its annoying. I even hate shopping sometimes because pants hardly ever fit. 5-7-9 was a pretty good place to shop for pants.. but i dont know where one is here in Az. :(

There's a plus tho: I love it when guys are taller than i am, and that's not hard to find. :lol: Besides, being tiny in a guys arms just feels safe.

Almost 5'8" (1.72m for the metric-minded), but wish I could be taller. I've always wanted to be 6 feet tall, probably because my dad and brothers are all 6'3" or taller; my sisters are all under 5'4".

I am short - 5'1". I'd love to be taller. I prefer my men to be over 6'. My husband is 6'4".

I am 5'6...I wouldn't mind being 2" taller but I'm pretty happy with my height. Thats why the make heels right? :) I do prefer a guy to be about 6' to 6'4 or so.

i'm 5'7"..i wouldn't want to date a guy over 5'10" ..i would hate to always be looking up..not feminism issues..neck pain issues..plus isnt it hard to like get into certain "positions" with taller or shorter guys? my first real bf was 5'1"...

My husband and I have managed for 18 years with a 15" height difference.

squirt..how tall is your husband? ..anyway..its just from a personal standpoint..and from my exp. it was hard (no pun intended) when "parts" didn't "match up"..it wasnt like impossible..just got in our way sometimes...nothing that made a big differnce..i mean i had plans on marrying him despite his height..and i would have..didn't mean to offend anyone...*holds up hands*..

Just a weird, pointless sidenote... You reminded me of my dream! I was going to visit these people after a highschool event.. a play or something. I think I was there to pick someone up. A lot of people I had graduated with were there too. But they had all bought tickets, and people were checking them *after the show*. Since I just got there, and they of course wouldn't be selling tickets at that point, I didn't have one and I got in trouble. They thought I was a highschooler and that I should get suspended for a couple days. I said "that'd be great sir, but I graduated in 2001" :P

anyway, i'm actually 5'0 3/4" to be exact. I used to say I was 5'2... this is based on the fact that my friend in highschool who was the same height as me said she was 5'2. at that point, I thought I was 5'1 and done growing but if she said she was 5'2, i'd be 5'2 too. :-D it's kind of funny... but I guess i'll just round it up to 5'1 now. I've always liked taller guys. My boyfriend is also around 5'10, maybe 5'11.
