Brassiere preferences
What's your style? Not counting boudoir dress or dressing to go out when you will/might be undressing for another, what do you wear for every day? Do you go with comfort? Or do you wear a pushup, padded, go-for-it-all at all times? Or maybe you prefer bra-less?
If it may be relevant, tell why and when, and if you think age, weight or relationship status is a factor. Personally, I've been wearing lightly padded slightly push up stuff. Age may be a factor for me. Although I'm much larger than I was in my young years, there isn't too much sag but I do feel a bit more confident with a little help. I do, however, prefer comfort and wear a no-underwire, no-padding bra when I'm in the house. I do wonder, however, why the shame in the fear of nipples. My daughters have chosen underwired, padded bras since they needed to wear them and that's what inspired this question for me.

I have breast fed three children, I'm medium built otherwise, but breasts now have tendency to get saggy, so wiring has proven better. Except at night I may use wireless bra, but I need to use bras even then, I like to try and have everything stay together as long as possible... since the skin on chest is losing it's elasticity, and sadly won't easily tighten back, I try to give my breasts some support.
Padded became necessary with the realization that some people may feel uncomfortable having to stare at the nipples of a 40+ woman. I didn't care so much at 30's yet...

Me too (nursed 3)! So you sleep in a bra? My kids do, too. I probably should but just am not comfortable sleeping with anything constricting.

I have preferred underwire bras for as long as I have been wearing bras. I do not need any padding but I have found the demi cup style to actually provide the best balance between comfort and support.
I prefer to remove my bra for sleeping, but am usually more comfortable with one on than one off.

Every-day wear is all about the underwire. It didn't used to be, but recently I have found the styles found in underwire more suiting to my body type. I dislike padding.
Sometimes I fall asleep with my normal bra, but it's not a common every-day occurrence. I usually wear a camisole with a built-in shelf bra when I get ready for bed.

Every bra in my collection (aside from two) are the Exxtreme Cleavage demi bra from Frederick's. They are lightly padded with the option to put in the extra lift padding. They have under-wires which are great for support. These are some of the few bras I haven't had a problem with the wire poking me somewhere.
I have always preferred some padding for hiding the nipples. From what I can remember, high school class rooms are kept COLD, and having some guy make a comment about headlights or having to sit with you arms crossed for almost an hour while trying to pay attention, is not the most enjoyable thing or the easiest in the world. I have been thinking about getting a nice non-padded no under-wire bra for sleeping in. I have been noticing they ache when I get up in the morning. I generally sleep on my side with a soft down pillow in between them but I often wake up on my back. Gravity that way can't be helping

I have a variety of bras. I have some VS Cotton for everyday, comfort wear. I have a couple of fancier VS push-up type bras too
I bought this bra in the demi to fit under my wedding dress. Despite being more padded than many of my other bras, it's super-comfy, and has less spillage than many other demis I've tried: Incredible by Victoria?s Secret?:omg Incredible Bra, Incredible Videos & More My other favorite lined bra is this one, Body by Victoria Full Coverage. I love it because it is made with this Memory Fit lining that self-adjusts to fit your boobs better over time. I also have their lighter "unlined" bra--it still has a bit of lining, but not as much as the regular one. So, I guess you could say I wear the bra that suits the occasion. If I want to look smooth under a tight sweater or a tight t-shirt, I go for the Body by Victoria lined or unlined, depending on if I need nude or black (the lined is nude, the unlined is black). If I need amazing cleavage, I go for the Incredible or the Body by Victoria bras. If I'm just wearing a regular t-shirt or going to sleep, I go for my VS cotton bras.

Well I usually wear slightly padded bras and on occasion I'll wear a push up. I have pierced nipples so in some situations a little extra padding is required. I have a padded bras that still show my nipples but in classes it isn't a big issue. Of course I was more conservative when I was running my companies.
