Ladies: Beauty of Powerful Women
What grabs your attention when you see a woman of power? Is it her eyecolor, her physique, her makeup, clothing choices, hair? Does one ruler grab your attention? Have you found a way to feel more powerful in your life through beauty? Have you seen a woman in power who was not beautiful?
A few fun things you can do with this thread: Share images of our world's powerful women: heads of state, policy-makers, leading scientists, or historical figures. Share your impression of their beauty, be it internal or external. Share personal empowering experiences dealing with beauty -------------------------------------------------------------------- It's difficult to ignore the beauty of Ukraine's prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko. Not only is she beautiful, but she is highly educated. She holds a Ph.D in Economics and had a successful career in the oil industry along with her relative success in politics.

Amelia Earhart...powerful, beautiful, strong minded, and at home in a male dominated occupation...so focused and ahead of her time. I''v always found her life story fascinating. I think what appeals to me most is her sense of adventure and braveness. The fact that she is a natural beauty has no bearing on her position of power, in my mind, but she sure was a looker! I may have an unconventional view of beauty...I truly have not seen many people who I though were truly ugly to look at. More often it's a persons personality that can make them ugly. |

Are you asking about power in the political or economic sense, or just celebrity, style, or fame?

Strangely, I think that Amelia Earhart bears somewhat of a resemblance to her contemporary and rival, Charles Lindbergh. (no relation ) Lindy |
