Discharge-y?
 

Hey everyone...I know I haven't been here in awhile. I'm not sure how many people remember me, but hello everyone! A lot of shit has been going on with me, and I'm working on rebuilding what's been lost.

But besides that, I have a question for the ladies. I don't think any of ya'll are doctors, but maybe I'm not alone in my plight.

When I wear jeans especially for some reason, I usually have a thick white discharge in my undies. I wear 100% cotton undies, and have all my life. When I wear pants of other materials, it isn't as bad.

The discharge usually smells bad, and I have to wear a panty liner to keep myself fresh. I apologize for being so graphic, but does anyone know what I can do to "dry myself up" so I can wear jeans without worrying about an unpleasant odor or this thick discharge?

Do you wear form-fitting or tight jeans? If so, you may be stimulating yourself to a mild degree throughout the day, which will cause an increase in discharge.

Are you familiar with typical mucus excretions? Have you noticed if these secretions are in line with the typical mucus pattern - ie: after your period, 4 dry days, followed by thicker secretions which become less thick and more slippery as you approach fertility around day 17, followed by a few drier days before your period begins again? If you'd like more information on your cycles and the excretions involved, you may want to look into the cervical mucus method of monitoring fertility.

This happens to me. My boyfriend swears like I'm horny all the frickin time when he sees it in my underwear. **rolls eyes** But, anyways, it's normal. My sister and I have had it since puberty began for us.

I keep baby wipes with me sometimes and I just clean myself every few hours. I don't wear pantyliners because they make me feel like I'm wearing a thing diaper. Also, while I think my vagina must be STANK as hell.. I've asked some folks and nobody seems to smell my stench at all. I douch with water and vinegar once a week and that usually helps to hinder it for a whole day, but a person should only douche no more than once a week to prevent from getting an infection.

I don't wear skinny jeans (though, I'd love to) and I even discharge these fluids while I'm sleeping.

I've had a similar problem.

For me, it usually tends to be a higher level of yeast. Women have yeast in the nether reasons naturally...it's when they start multiplying like bunnies that the infections come about. (which is why I don't wear wet clothes for any longer than necessary....I learned that lesson the itchy way) The discharge has a beer-like smell, and tends to be worse depending on my cycles, etc. Not sure that this is what it is in your case, but it is my experience. Make sure your jeans have plenty of room in the crotch. I'm not sure else how to keep things fresh, other than the aforementioned baby wipes.

Smells bad? How bad? Is it just like BO bad or fishy bad? Normal vaginal secretions shouldn't have a strong odor. I'd get check for Bacterial Vaginosis and yeast at the doctors just in case.

Most women have a natural 'scent.' But I'm not sure what you mean by 'bad.'

I get nuts whenever I'm able to smell myself though - maybe that's how you are? If I go to pee and I smell anything, I'm in the shower using Dial shower gel below the belt and above the thighs (my gyn gets on me for this because it's so harsh for the delicates, but I don't have any bad reactions - just less stank.) There was actually a period of years in my mid 20's that I didn't smell like anything at all. Men would always comment on it. It was weird lol. But as time has gone on, I have the normal, almost sweet scent that will especially come out on a hot day or when I'm aroused. Not happy with it but I suppose it's the norm.

Mine smells like that womanly stench.. but stronger. Like when a girl gets horny and that smell comes out stronger. It's like that.. but instead of just becoming stronger during horniness.. it's always strong. :/

I don't know how to describe it. It's strong, and does smell like I'm horny all the time. When I go to the bathroom, and I pull my jeans and undies down, I can smell it. I don't know if anyone else can, though. My undies smell like it, and so do the crotch of my jeans usually. It's a thick white, but my vagina doesn't hurt or anything, and I've had bacterial vaginosis before. This is nothing like it. It's just a nasty, annoying, thick, white, smelly discharge.

I apologize for not being able to be more specific. I'll try the baby wipes though. Thank you ladies for the input so far, though, very much.

I have never asked folks if they smell any odor coming from a coochy especially mine.
I would encourage yous all to be a little less worried about what others may be smelling and concerned more about proper balance of ventilation, laundry detergents, fabrics, fluid intake, foods intake. All things that lead to good health. I have been waxing around vulvas for years and I have smelled many coochy odors. For the most part women have an expected arroma that is barely noticeable, if at all, when her pants are off right in front of me. Some times it is stronger than other times. I usually can guess which part of the cycle she is in based upon the sight and odor. There has been a couple of occassions when there has been an unusual odor or discharge apparent and in those cases she already knew she needed to have it checked. So no, don't fret over seemingly normal conditions. People have a lot worse odors to watch out for. They aren't going to notice or care if they notice a little muffin puffin in the air.
