Ok, I must converse with ladies who use Lush products!
omg this stuff is incredible. I now understand what all the hype's been about! The scents are amazing! Not one thing that I ordered stinks. Some of the stuff - I want to just roll in it because it smells and feels so good. The ingredients blow me away - everything is an oil, extract, rind, etc. So cool.
I've gotta compare notes with others who've played with this line! LUSH Fresh Handmade Soaps and Natural Cosmetics |
Karma Komba solid shampoo... best stuff ever. And I love using the Avobath bath bomb with the You've Been Mango'ed melt. The bath smells like Froot Loops and is SO good to your skin! I keep the yellow paper wrappers and stuff them in my dresser so my clothes smell pretty. :)
|
I've raved about them often. I used to spend $200 on Lush products for myself and the girls every other month. Most smell amazing and many work very well. The bath bombs are fun (make great Xmas gifts, too!) and I used only their henna to color my hair for nearly two years.
I'm down to the must-haves only now which for me are the Dream Cream for myself (lusciously rich body moisturizer) and the Farmacy cleanser with their tea tree oil for my daughter. |

I'm in love with The Olive Branch and Flying Fox shower gels. The Olive Branch smells like omg. And they have a solid perfume of it too, which I plan to pick up next order. Flying Fox has a unique smell but it's fantastic. Favorite product I ordered - Therapy massage bar. Holy crap, this smells like heaven. And it's so cool - you just rub it in your hands like a bar of soap and it immediately leaves your hands oily for massage / moisturizing time. I can't wait to try other massage bars. They're pretty cool. Looove this line so far. |
Well, I bought a couple of things. I've never heard of them, but I like how its all natural ingredients. I'll let you know how I like it once I receive it!
|
I love Whoosh! body wash. It is a gel and if you freeze it, you can pop out a little and then wash with cold body gel. It sounds very odd but in the summer it is great. It is too cool! I haven't tried many of the other products but when I can afford it, I will!

Last night, I used the King of Skin body butter. Amazing. But it does melt super fast. I just did a few strokes on wet skin - a few on each arm, leg, etc. I held the bar with a dry hand. Then rubbed it in. Didn't rinse. I did this last night around 7:00 and my body still feels better than any lotion or oil has ever done for me. Amazing. I'm just going to store it on a little plate thing on my bathroom counter. If I left it in the shower, it'd be gone in no time. |
As a product whore.. I have YET to try Lush! :C I hate how nobody sells it here and I have to buy it online. :C:C:C:C
But, I've heard only good reviews about it. |
I like Big shampoo and Vegansese conditioner but it's too pricey for me. *poor*
I have two shampoo bars (Karma and something green) and Jungle conditioner. |
It's very expensive. I hate that. But I can see why. The stuff's fantastic.
I found out that Macy's here sells it. But I don't think I'll be going to pick up some different products for a couple weeks lol. |
Love Lush and buy some whenever I'm in London. I also leave bits in the car - makes it smell nicer than those air fresheners you buy in the supermarket!
|
I've actually been taking 2 showers a day since I got this stuff. One AM and one PM. I need to quit or I'm gonna run out!

Think of it as some precious one on one time. A treat for yourself, some mental and physical R&R, so to speak. Nothing wrong with it once a month or so. Can you tell that I just got out of my very last bomb bath? :suave: I need more of these. |
I'm going to have to eventually drop $ on a bomb just to try it.
Only once though lol. |
How is their coalface soap like? And their shampoos?
|
Haven't tried either.
Check out the reviews. They're pretty straightforward - negatives and all. |
Okay, so they have no stores down here in San Diego but up in Anaheim they did (I went to Disneyland.. but made a stop by Lush up there) and I bought Coalface, Karma Komba, and Jungle.
Coalface~ For face. It exfoliates, but VERY lightly and it didn't leave black crap in my pores like I thought it would. It left my face very clean, though slightly dry. I have combination skin.. so my oily parts were fine but my normal parts were a bit dry. Karma Komba~ Solid Shampoo. It smells good! It lathers very well! Left my hair clean with no residue. Jungle~ Conditioner. Smells good.. and the smell lasts all day on you. A little actually works very well.. I was surprised. I swiped it all over my hair and only a little bit got on.. but when I rinsed it off, my hair was uber soft. I might do makeupalley reviews later on when they run out. I've only been using these for a few days. I'm actually planning on buying more stuff to try out.. any more recommendations? |
Try a massage bar. Just make sure you get a tin to store it in. They're really cool - not just for massage but to use as a moisturizer. From what I read in the reviews, a lot of people slick it all over their wet body after shower, rub it in and pat dry (just like the body butters but cheaper.) I use it for when you'd normally use a lotion. This one smells fantastic: agghh - messed up link. Just look for 'Each Peach.'
I still adore this: LUSH -- Bath & Shower Products: King of Skin Body Butter (moisturizing, conditioning) Make sure you check this out: LUSH -- Bath & Shower Products: The Olive Branch Shower Gel (body wash, body cleanser, body shampoo). The smell is just fantastic. They make a solid perfume of it that I picked up recently. It's absolutely wonderful. |

I'm wondering if we should move this thread elsewhere since Lush sells men's products as well as unisex items. Might draw more attention from members. Thoughts? |
Finally found a crappy product from Lush.
LUSH -- Bath & Shower Products: The Soft Touch Body Butter (especially for hands: moisturizing, conditioning) I thought it'd be even more moisturizing, considering it's the most expensive of the body butters. But it's not. It sucks. I'm pissed. :/ If you're going to do body butters, stick with either 'King of Skin' or 'Buffy.' |
Used a bath bomb for the first time - 'avobath.'
It's ok. The fizzing is kinda neat. Smells nice. Your skin feels nice in the water - not sure how if feels once you get and and dry off, as I immediately followed with a body butter. I don't think I'd drop the $ on one again unless I had money to waste. Just fyi. |
Omg lush is great, for years I was put off by the look of the stores (too hippy and try hard) and the general smells eminating but a while ago I needed anew cleanser and happened to find a great one....I recommend...
1) ultra bland cleanser - very good for dry winter skin 2) herbalism - good for oily skin in high summer 2) cupcake - fresh face mask - great for breakouts 3) eau roma - toner for dry/normal skin- very refreshing and soothing and much better than clinique of any other expensive alternatives 4) wiccy magic muscles - a very sexy, invigorating massage bar (mmmm!) and MY ULTIMATE FAVE... 5) buffy - a very rich soap bar which has almond pieces in it - it cured my eczema on my arms and I use it once a week to exfoliate. Ahhh,if they paid well I'd work for them anyday! xx ---------- Post added at 01:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:11 PM ---------- ps. the coalface soap is great but just use it once a week when you're oily - no more than that necessary! |
