Strip Clubs: Your Opinion?
 

so, lately, I've been attending exotic dance clubs. And It has me very curious about how other women feel about these clubs.

here's my experience with these clubs.

Being a girl in a strip club is like walking in an alternate universe, one I happen to be very comfortable in. I'm fit, I feel good about myself, I'm not threatened looking at beautiful women. The dancers have told me, it's so refreshing to be dancing for a girl and to be interacting with me instead of the male patrons. Firstly, I'm very very respectful. I always ask things nicely and I never assume it's okay to even touch their hand unless I'm invited to do so. I have great respect for these women, they are brave and very confident in themselves, I think that attitude comes across when I'm there.

Now, i've been to strip clubs, but never felt comfortable getting a lapdance. I suppose my curosity got the best of me last night. Topper encouraged me to do whatever I wanted and that he was fine with me getting one. I however, didn't want to experience it without him. So I managed to convince the lovely dancer to do a *couples dance* for us. It's been a good loophole for me, I can remain monogamous, while still getting the chance to enjoy being bisexual in a small way. Also, Topper doesn't complain about going with me :)

I respect the dancers and what they do, I respect their confidence. I enjoy being a patron and forsee myself continuing to attend these clubs.'

That is my view and experience. I'm wondering what yours is??

How I feel about these clubs is a far cry from how my family and indeed even some of my friends feel. Many people feel disturbed about the very thought of a topless dancer.

I'm really curious.

How do you feel about strip clubs? What are your experiences? If you've been to one, how was it for you? If you've not been to one: do you want to go or would you never be caught dead at one?
If you attend, do you attend with an S.O.? Have you ever attended just for your S.O.?

I was bored one night, and half heartedly told friend I'd do just about anything. He took that and ran, lol. We thought it was amateurs night at one of the clubs, so we chose that one, and my stipulation was his idea, he pays.

We got inside, and he told me that I was picking out the woman i wanted for my lapdance. We watched 4-5 before I found one whose style I enjoyed, and who was a lot of fun to interact with. When she came over, she asked if I had ever had a dance before. I told her no, but that I was here to have some fun. My friend was looking on, and I told the dancer to do what she wanted, but just make my friend jealous ;)

I am not bi, so I didn't get turned on in that way. But I had a great time - she was getting into it, and I took cues from her - she had fun showing off her moves, and I enjoyed watching my friend squirm, hehe.

Other than being a semi expensive night between tips, cover, and in house drinks, I don't have a negative connotation at all. The girls who were comfortable had fun - those who were not were very easy to pick out.

I honestly think you can go to a strip club, have a good time, and still be 100% respectful of their space. The girls are the ones choosing to be there, and the ones who last are the ones who know how to protect their interests, and acutally enjoy what they do.

Confidence really does go so far.

i was watching this comedy show once & one of the comedians was talking about strip clubs. basically what he said was: what is the point? you got there & spend how much money to watch some girl dance around naked? just imagine if you went home and put a 5 in your wife's pants. one of two things can happen, she'll smack you, or she'll dance. if she dances, you keep giving her money (the money you would have given the stripper) & then, once you are good & hard, you get to fuck her, & you may even get a steak dinner the next day.

now, i enjoy strip clubs & have been to a few, but i don't have a girl. if i did then i would take his advice & see what happens :)

(later added) although i find strip clubs enjoyable, i don't go to them often, because there is that little problem of getting hot and bothered and, well, having no way to release it (that is unless you have someone at home waiting for you. and that just goes back to the funny man's comment).

Weeeelll, I haven't been to a strip club, and I don't particularly have a desire to do so. But of course I've been to burlesque shows, yes they're very different, even though the dancers (and sometimes I'm one of them) goes down to pasties and a g-string).

Strangely, I think I'd enjoy going with a group of girlfriends, more than with my hubby. But I think the hubby would be uncomfortable, and turn the experience uncomfortable.

I have been once, and would love to go again. Most of the clubs in our area have rules against full nudity since they also serve alcohol, which is disappointing. But even so, a bunch of hot women dancing around (mostly) naked, is still pretty awesome. :)

Like amonkie said, you can usually tell the dancers that are having a great time and really into it from the ones that aren't. In my experience, some of the women were really happy to see me there and had no problem interacting with me, and some just ignored me figuring they'd make more money off the male customers.

I did have a lapdance, and it was a couple's dance as SecretMethod70 was with me as well. It was definitely fun, and I really enjoyed watching him enjoy himself with another woman as well as enjoy her myself. Because of the way most lapdances work, they are generally more arousing for a guy. ;) It's more difficult to...stimulate...a woman without more direct contact, but it was still a really great time. At the club we went to, touching was allowed, and so I can now say that in some cases, implants don't feel as nice as real boobs. :lol:

All in all I'd say that strip clubs are a lot of fun. It's a safe environment to be in as a woman as long as you watch out for yourself, and can be a lot of fun for a couple as well, as long as you talk about what you're each comfortable with first. It can great way to either express your sexuality if you are lesbian/bi, but also just a way to kick back and just let loose for a bit as a woman who's just looking to have a good time. They are expensive however, so just be prepared for that if you decide to go. (However, I did find that many clubs offer reduced/free cover for women) And keep plenty of singles handy! :p

If I had the kind of body for it I'd be a stripper in a heartbeat!

I have never been to a strip club, mainly because I'd want to go to a really nice one and those just don't exist in NC/SC. However, when I go to Vegas (whenever that'll happen) WATCHOUT! I'm definitely planning on enjoying myself to the fullest!

I myself enjoyed one of the finer strip clubs in my state and honestly had by far one of the most enjoyable nights imaginable. The girls were awesome and super friendly and I think they used us as a buffer from the guys. they would play and flirt with us and the guys still kept chucking them dollars to keep it up and we just goofed off with it all night and it was great!

I would do it agian in a heartbeat. They were sweet and a pleasure to watch and enjoy!

I used to go all the time with my ex. He was more of the "bad boy" type then my husband (long hair, motorcycle, etc;) and he was up for going as often as I wanted to. He was also up for me trying to seduce the dancers into going home with us.

My husband on the other hand doesn't really care at all for that enviroment so we have not been.

I would say though that when I did go I did enjoy it. I found some of the women to be very attractive and I quite enjoyed all the attention I got. I think the kind of attention they give women is much different then what they give the men patrons. It is definately more 'hands on'. I have been kissed and fondled and such and never seen that happen to a man while I was there.

I have to say, most of the people I have met in my life disaprove of exotic clubs, I'm surprised that opinion isn't being represented here.

I have male friends who try to get me to go all the time...however once they start talking about me possibly being gay I usually back down. I shouldn't be such a wuss...

A group of my female friends and I have been thinking about going for a while though...we usually try to incorporate a non-caring male though so we go to good places, but it never ends up happening.

I couldnt count the number of times i've been to one lol, there are many here to choose from, and in Atlanta it doesnt matter if they serve booze, they get as naked as they can. Usually takes them 3 songs and lots of tips to do so ;)

I absolutely cannot stand to see a male stripper, I would much much MUCH rather watch a woman, limp noodles flopping around a boy that looks like a preteen boy on steroids does nothing for me.

There is one here that I enjoy more than the others because they actually employ dancers that have some meat on their bones...nothing turns me off quicker than a woman who's ribs I can count or her boobs dont jiggle at all while they dance. I will "dress" up when I go, some form of mini and my corset. On several occasions I've been asked to leave because the patrons would think I worked there and I'd get asked for lap dances hehehehe

I think its a great experience and the women for the most part get really more animated on stage if there is a chick standing there with money in her hand (now Im talking local clubs, not the "big" ones where the porn stars hang out...Atlanta has many of those and I cant stand them)

I had the same experience. :lol: I figured, I'm going to a strip club, might as well take the chance to dress up in the things I generally can't wear when we're out. I think I ended up in a really mini denim skirt with black fishnet thigh highs and tall black boots, along with a small black tank top and black chocker, lots of fun. :thumbsup: I remember at least one of the girls doing a double take and saying something about being confused since she'd never seen me before but she was sure I was working there. Maybe that's why some of the girls ignored me, thought I was competition, hmmm....:sad:

After going a few times, I've found the balance between getting to dress sexy and not making the girls feel like I'm trying to compete. I did wear something esp. racy one time and the girls were none too pleased. I don't dress conservative by any means when I go, but I try to have a long sleeved top that covers my midriff, right away, that will set you apart from the dancers.

also, something that Shani brought up, that a male strip club wouldn't have much affect on her. I feel that same way. I haven't been to one where men are on the stage so to speak and I don't really think I would enjoy it, for the sheer fact that women are just more amazing to watch dancing in my opinion. (plus, I can get Topper to dance for me at home AND get a happy ending so there's no point) :) I love my man, but I find women more visually stimulating for me.

How do some of you feel about male strip clubs? Thoughts? Opinions?

I've never been to one, mostly because there just aren't that many around, and also I wouldn't want to go alone, and I can't think of many people who would be willing to go with me. However, if the opportunity ever came up I would definitely go. The way that men and women perform erotic dancing is obviously very different. However I find both equally attractive in their own unique ways. With women there is a more sensual and exotic aspect to it, and they are just truly beautiful to look at. But with men there's just a raw sexual energy that is also very enticing. If I actually went the experience might be different, but in my mind I give the male strippers a big :thumbsup:

I've never been to a technical "strip club", but I went to a live act in Vegas that was basically women doing skits (mostly sexually oriented) and of course, they were nearly nude. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and would definitely go again in the future. I would also consider going to one here, although the opportunity has never presented itself.

When I was in NC, every once in awhile male strippers would take over one of the regular strip clubs, and I went a couple of times with my girlfriends. I found them cheesy and ended up laughing more than being turned on or really enjoying it.

It's funny, but it seems to me that men perform the kind of stripping that men want--what's sexy to a guy. A guy likes having a crotch in his face, so that's what a gal would like, right?

Not so much.

Obviously many other chicks must enjoy it, but that kind of thing just doesn't do it for me.

And I agree about the dressing, one shouldn't dress so as to be easily confused with the working entertainment, where ever you go: strip club, restaurant with belly dancing, Disneyland...

its such a coincidence that ... my gfs and i.. were talking about going to a strip club, but a male one..:) but..we cudn't find any ..around the london, ont area..
One of my gfs brought up the topic about not going to a female strip club..she think its so pointless because evrything the stripper has, she has as well...so why look at another woman's body rite? but.. i personally...don't think i'll ever dance like a stripper, wear what a stripper would wear, have the kind of body a stripper has..and to think of it..i think a woman's body is so sexy.. :) just how everything fits together......so why not try ? :P hehe.. or maybe im just a bit bi-sexual..lol..

I've been to see male strippers and been to two strip clubs with women. The male strippers were so boring. They weren't completely nude and never GOT completely nude. They were oiled and looked almost greasy. My SIL and I got bored real quick while watching them.
As for the strip clubs. First visit I had was with a couple who were swingers and the woman was bisexual. She and I flirted with the women strippers and each of us ladies got more than a lap dance. It was quite fun. The club was obviously more laid back in their rules but even so we never initiated any contact with the woman.
The last time I went I didn't know what the place was like and discovered that it was a complete dump. I didn't stay more than a couple minutes really.
For the most part the strip clubs seem pretty boring to me.

I went to strip clubs a few times with a boyfriend back in college, and found myself enjoying the experience as much as he did, especially the lap dances he'd pay for.

It was an early clue :).

Grace and I sometimes went to a more upscale place back in LA, but we've not found anything here that interests us nearly as much.

I'm not so sure about them. I have one friend who had an entire pint poured on her by the stripper and another who was made a part of the show...while she was wearing a mini skirt. Also, I think I'd rather only have the man of my choice in the comfort of home swinging things in my face.

I've seen a couple of male stripper shows and though I like men's bodies, it seems clear to me that a large amount of male strippers are gay. I wouldn't mind male strippers if they just looked buff but manly. The fact that most times they are dressed in ridiculously tight outfits and do silly dances really turns me off. That and the fact that they look like they dived into a vat of cooking oil.

I've never seen female strippers before and I'm not sure whether I'd like it. I think I'd like it but would have mixed feelings about their line of work...I wouldn't be happy if my guy fancied going to strip clubs on a regular basis.

My opinion is slightly clouded, having worked briefly as a stripper.

I'm not opposed...I even offered to take JS to one for his Bday but we had a nice dinner with friends instead. I dunno it would probably be fun to try out. I'm confident with my appearance, although I can get intimidated by really hot women sometimes and start to feel embarrassed...meh.

The one club I went to I really liked becuase all the girls were different shapes and sizes. Some had tiny boobs, and one was a curvy, short girl, but all in all, their weaknesses were made up in personality or doing fun table shows!

Well, I like it when women do it, so i'm not sure what that says about me :)

oh yeah, i'm going to second this, a girl that I might not be super attracted to on the stage, when she comes up and starts talking and spends a little time with me... I might end up buying two or three dances from her just based on the fact she's a lot of fun :) Personality/confidence counts big time!

I had a roommate that was a stripper and I spent a lot of time at the club she worked at. It was fun, but the girls there actually became like furniture to me after a while. Seeing the same things that often actually took the fun out of it all for me. Now that I think about it, I'm kinda sad about this.

im new to this site, but i've loved reading your stuff. Just thought i'd comment from a slightly different perspective. I am one of the dancers in these clubs and alot of people when they find out what i do lose a lot of respect for me, especially girls! It was so great to read that so many of you have been to a club and that you enjoy it and appreciate the confidence it takes! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
