The thread about men looking at porn got me thinking. Why do you, as a woman, look at porn? It was suggested that most do it to escape their mundane everyday lives, but I don't think that's the case. At least not for me. Mostly I do it for new ideas in the bedroom and also to fantasize about things that I wouldn't do in real life. So...why do YOU do it? Add me to the chorus of "Because it turns me on!" That's pretty much the main reason I watch it. Generally speaking I'm very visual, and I get much more turned on by watching porn as opposed to romance novels or other similar things. (Not that they can't be great at times, just not what always works for me.) But some other reasons that I also voted for in the poll include things like new ideas and watching it with my SO. I've never seen it as an escape from a boring sex life, but more as a way to enhance a currently good sex life.

Very little of it's a turn-on. That's what imagination is for. I watch freebie clips out of boredom and I think they're pretty damned funny. All that fake moaning and the women look stoned most times... and what's with that lip pursing into the camera?
Hentai is actually hotter than a lot of the live action that's out because there is some imagination involved and sometimes the artwork is really cool.

I don't really watch porn. Porn tends to focus too much on the woman. I'd rather look at a hot guy. Plus, I like to star in the porn in my fantasy. My imagination is really good.
