i'm in awe with this site

i seriously never expected this forum to be this nice, all the forums i've been to before are just dwarfed by this... you guys are soo mature and helpful... i've shared alot of personal stuff allready on this site and i didn't expect the reactions that i got. i have total respect for you guys and gals

soo my message to the other newbies is to stay here, this place kicks ass

since i've really started posting here this week i've been abandoning my former home forum

thank you guys for having such and awsome place

Dilbert1234567 12-09-2004 11:10 PM

thanks for the thanks, its great because all the members are great.

and the great work by the administrators and moderators

hockeeguy19 12-09-2004 11:22 PM

yea I love this place, I just wish I could visit it more often so I could get rid of this damn "rookie" title! :|

FngKestrel 12-10-2004 01:06 AM

Just keep at it. Make quality posts and contribute to discussions meaningfully and don't worry about the titles. :D

tecoyah 12-10-2004 08:04 AM

As Stated above....it is a direct reflection of our members...that we can maintain a mature, and respectful atmosphere at TFP. Halx has a mandate for community, and we strive very hard to maintain it.

Welcome to the Ultimate Online Community.

wolf 12-10-2004 09:19 AM

I am new here as well, and I have to say this is one of the best forums around. Not just the maturity, but also for the wide range of topics and experts to guide you on them.

f6twister 12-10-2004 09:35 AM

I've got to agree with AquaFox. I left a different forum in search of a site where intelligence and adult behavior were required. I thought I would have a hard time finding something like that but this was the first site that appeared. Its great to have a place like this to visit. Thank you.

SiN 12-10-2004 01:06 PM

y'know...

this thread (and the first post innit) makes me smile :)

(but I admit, the 'rookie' blah-blah of the 3nd post kinda ruins it...) :|

AquaFox 12-10-2004 02:21 PM

i honestly wouldn't mind being a rookie forever here, i'm enjoying this just as is

i've noticed that you guys accept donations for the site too, i'll donate some money later when i get it

blitz.fenix 12-10-2004 02:30 PM

Yep, in total agreement here. Good place to jsut chill out. I've had a lot of work to do over the past couple of weeks and I couldn't come to the site, was worried that my account was deleted, but I'm still here weeee :)

AquaFox 12-10-2004 02:38 PM

i joined over a month ago... 11-03-2004... i lurked a bit before i started posting.. and once i posted you guys just sucked me into this awsome forum

btw, i just noticed i'm no longer a rookie :)

AquaFox 12-10-2004 07:01 PM

btw, my AIM screen name is AquaFox00

feel free to IM me to talk

Tasonir 12-16-2004 09:12 PM

Lurking is pretty fun, it's just that it's rather selfish. I lurked a few times here and then eventually got deleted for inactivity. I just signed up again now that I have broadband and hope to be a bit more active.

Baron Opal 12-22-2004 02:30 AM

Yes, it is a rather fun site isn't it. I have enjoyed giving what advice I can in Health and Fitness, and although I post relatively infrequently, the mods keep telling me that as long as what I write is meaningful, it doesn't really matter how little I post. (Although, I do try to keep it to an average of a post a day, but that's pushing it for me.)

snowy 12-22-2004 02:37 AM

Gosh, back in the day I went through a couple server losses with TFP and eventually, after the loss of highspeed internet (dial-up and TFP just DON'T work) lost touch...but now I'm back and I have to say...having had subsequent forum experiences in the meantime makes me value the TFP all the more. Halx has put together a wonderful thing here, and the community that flocks to the wonderful thing makes it all the more valuable. Fact is, I really enjoy the people around here and their opinions. I love the Sexuality forum and I love being able to share my opinion. I love debate with some of the folks on here, and I love making contact with people from other countries, especially those folks who hang out in the Canada forum :). This forum has evolved from what I knew it as, and for that I am glad. As far as I am concerned it has grown for the better. :)

Avail 12-22-2004 12:08 PM

Yeah, I lurked for a while with random posts here and there but now I've started to post more. It's a great community, unlike some forums where everyone just argues with each others and call each other "dumass nubs."

mcat1981 12-22-2004 10:50 PM

Yeah, I've been around a while, just "lurking," but I think I'll start posting myself. Good post man.

nazrm 12-28-2004 06:07 PM

thriolith 12-28-2004 09:19 PM

Love this place, it has everything! And as a bonus a great buncha people, which makes this a great little community.

Tycow 12-30-2004 07:44 AM

Tis a friendly place. I've never encountered a board that caters for such a wide range of topics and people. 10 thumbs up for the people on here

Skerious 12-31-2004 11:32 AM

I've been lurking here for about a year, and have recently decided to start contributing. I think this place is a great resource of information as well as a good place to just waste time :D

Oreon 01-01-2005 09:54 PM

Yea I'm a lurker too. But I LOVE reading all the good posts. I mean heck, I just learned how to fold my shirts in 3 seconds here! You gotta love that! I want to start contributing but I always feel I have nothing important to say. I know it's dumb and I'll break the ice soon.

kennusion 01-13-2005 05:47 PM

Hm.. I'm a newb here, but it's interesting none the less. I'm not much into forums but maybe that'll changed.

Crisis 01-13-2005 08:27 PM

I've been reading the site for almost a year now but have just recently started to post. The forums are so active it's hard to keep track of anything. Great forums.

Ralli 01-13-2005 11:34 PM

I love this site. there are so many different opinions and stuff from all around the world, and so many people have an opinon. you guys have done a great job

Lunatic 01-16-2005 10:07 AM

Besides all of the nice and caring people that TFP has, What I love about this place is all the different categories that is has to discuss. You can talk about anything and get advice on anything that you need, from people with experience. Good job to all the admins and all of the others for making this place very fun.

drakers 01-20-2005 07:18 AM

This is a great place to help find yourself, look for advice and make friends. Its a great place to visit.

Malou 01-22-2005 04:52 PM

Yaht she sure is a beuty aint she

nickynicole 01-28-2005 01:55 AM

I agree. The lack of insane stranger bashing is quite nice.

I'll be honest. I opened this thread with the intention of pointing out an error in grammer. Coloquially, one is generally in awe OF something. However, in this case, you appear to be in awe WITH a bunch of other people.

Yikes. My only excuse is that I didn't have my glasses on. Besides, grammar and SPELLING were totally different classes in college, and I only took one.

ironmaiden7o7 01-31-2005 10:41 PM

I totally agree. I have been looking for such a forum for a while and now I am so comfortable, I feel that I can share my personal stories and be respected, where as in other forums, that's impossible.

herostar 02-01-2005 12:14 PM

That's the same reason I've stayed here for the last 4 years...

hambone 02-01-2005 01:35 PM

I check this thing so many times a day while at work now. Its great. So much intelligent conversation going on.

Plus, who cares about titles/avatars and all that. You can still share your thoughts and feeling either way and that is what is great about this place. The rest is just bonuses.

Lebell 02-01-2005 01:42 PM

Well.

Threads like this make all the work worth while.

I'm pleased to see that our little home on the web is still appealing to new folks.

BUT!!!

It really REALLY doesn't come without a cost!

So please check out my sig, because without YOU, there is NO TFP!

Cheers,

lebell :D

jstory 02-01-2005 11:17 PM

This place is great, it is now my new forum.
