Hello all! I'm new here so here's a couple of things about me:
sci-fi movie fan kungfu movie fan marvel movie fan looking forward to desperado 2! I like maps and have like 10 hanging in my room thinking about getting a motorcyle drivers permit and learning to ride probably should just ride my bike and get more exercise but oh well. any idea what the best way to learn to ride is? I was thinking about getting a cheap 50cc scooter to ride and get used to it first but we'll see - they have classes at the community college in town but theres a six month waiting list or something. |

Okay folks, I've been here quite awhile but I've never posted here as I realize now I probably should. I was a regular poster back before the first ax but, since my 'reinstatement' resulting from a wonderful two weeks of IRC chat, I haven't posted nearly as much. I know I need to.
First: my name. It's a nod to my rather idealistic vision for our human race--that is, expanding and thriving, ultimately (if we can survive that long) off of this planet, earth. I worry about things like rogue asteroids... have I lost you? I hope not. I'll be the first to admit that I came here for the TB, per FARK.com. I'll also admit that that is where I spend most of my time here. However, I'm a realist. I need to visit and post intelligently and respectfully on the other forums as well. I sense another 'culling of the herd' here, and I want to let the community know about me, and to hope that you find me comfortable to be around. I'm currently on the short side of my thirties, and am finishing up a PhD in industrial engineering. I'm quite the loner type, still unmarried (although hopeful), and am rather shy even now. I say 'even now' as I thought I'd be cured of this by this age! I enjoy just about anything that enhances my walk through life, and that is a great many things, things that I hope to share throughout these forums. Anyway, hello to everyone here and I will continue to be, if not a mega-poster/replier, a member that you can respect be happy to have around. |

Greetings from the new
Just registered on this, most interesting forum, and thought I'd say hello to everyone. Just from browsing the many many topics, I can see there is quite a diverse range of people, and I look forward to thoughtfull discussions with as many of you as possible.
Or maybe we can just laugh at stupid people. (Can't let myself appear to deep, can I? ) edit) he, suppose I should've looked up here before posting a new thread. What a way to start....

Good morning. Pleasent weather, eh? Being new in a forum has many oppurtunities. You can meet, new people, or make a jackass out of yourself like I'm doing!
Hn. Guns are fun. That's all you need to know.
