click on your name and go to your public profile..your PC should be in there..

and yes it still makes a sound.. just not a loud one ;)

If you click on your screen-name to the left of your post, you will see a drop-down menu. Select - view public profile- . This will work for all the screen-names.

Here's one for ya tecoyah. This question was on a philosophy test in my university. The question was only one word, "Why?". Only one student got the answer correct, what was his answer?

I was always told, "because I said so".

I had the same question in my one and only philosophy course.

I wrote "Why not?" and got a half mark.

My buddy wrote "42" and got a .75 mark.

No idea what or if something was correct.

Out of curiosity... What does the "Loser" title means, and how does it differ from "Banned" ?
Saw it a few times in older threads, and I don't think they were custom titles?

Loser is someone....who not only got bannned, but managed to piss someone off along the slippery path of bannination. Think of this as an individual who was not only useless to the community, but a true detriment.

The avatar is the little picture under some members user name. You get it after enough meaningful participation.

I've seen reference to this a couple times but I don't know what it is. What is an internet troll? what is trolling? does anyone know anything on online etiquette thats worth checking out?

A troll is someone who looks for arguments/flamewars online. It is a bit of a dual meaning. First: you go 'trolling' when you are fishing, slowly crusing with your bait dragging behind waiting for a bite, much as people write inflamatory posts and wait for someone to take the bait and continue the argument. Second: trolls are stupid ugly beasts with thick skin. Much as internet trolls are not easily offended and are usually stupid beasts.

Also, drop the term 'netiquette' into a search engine... I seem to think that once found me various resources worth checking.
