"Help Me!" Team. Our services are available 24/7/365.

On this thread experienced users will volunteer their time to help out users with tech, style, any question.

The volunteers will help out anyone who wants it, via PM, or by answering questions posed here.

One of the purposes of this thread is to take some load off of mods.
The idea is to have NON-mods form this team. Although, you mods/admins are all more than welcome, it's your time.

Things to keep in mind:

The volunteers on this team may not have the answer.
The help team can not to provide mod help, that's their job.

The volunteers will help as much as possible, and embody the values of the TFP in their entirety.

I'd like to volunteer myself first.

I have over 1,000 posts experience in the previous TFP, and a piece of paper that says "A.A.S. Microcomputer Technician." I will help where I can, please feel free to ask.

Next...

Well, even though you're looking for non-mods, I'll lend a hand since classes end after this week. Feel free to send a pm if you need help.

And thank you billege for helping us out.

Oh, was that the reason?

OK - quick question: was a member a while ago (few months back), had posted quite a few times (ok, less than a hundred I think but still a few). Anyway, I had to go away for a while (couple of months) and when I come back I find no account? Any ideas what happened? Is there some account timeout if you don't log in for a while?

thanks

On Feb 29th, the help team ask the users questions... sort of like a test to see what you've learned.

The easiest way to get help is to drop by IRC chat at #TFP on irc.irvingnet.net

I don't get many PM's, so feel free to ask me questions, it won't get in the way of official duties.
