Until today, my only buttons were PM , SEARCH, and BUDDY. I just had those three and that was it.

I am on my laptop now so I will go back and check the home computer to see if I have something on that one as well.

Thanks for the help. I am glad that it wasn't just staring me in the face. (as it is on this machine)

tangledweb 10-07-2003 07:03 PM

Just checked my home computer and I only have PM SEARCH and BUDDY buttons below my posts. Is there some security setting that I need to change to see the rest?

I don't really need the profile button routinely but this is a mystery and I hates a mystery.

here is post number one for me too. it seems like it takes some time to be free on the board. I hope I dont get bored or booted

*a hint from the mods: use the edit button to change your mistakes instead of double-posting and wasting space*

what shows up below your posts all depends on the info you give. journal, if you have a journal. email if you select that option. www if you enter a website. fill all of the info inthe profile section of your user control panel, then make your selections in the optons section.

hoboballer 11-14-2003 07:09 PM

Amature looking to lose rookie status...where's a multimillion dollar endorsement when I need it?

sn00py 11-30-2003 12:30 PM

yeah, I read that somewhere back when I registered. "You must contribute..." or something along those lines...

Happyland 12-05-2003 08:00 AM

you have to truly be insane my friend

bubbaspike 12-06-2003 03:40 PM

Well here we go again.

Dwarf020 12-06-2003 04:50 PM

people are morons

it's easy to figure out how many posts you have to have to get tilted status. you just have to be reasonably inteligent and check out the member list's advanced options to look at who has tilted status w/however many posts, and who dosent. it's not 100% accurate, since some people can be asshats who dont get upgraded even though they have enough posts, but you can figure it out, and it's a solid limit, nobody w/fewer posts then the set number has the name change.

it's not that hard.

skaterpunk 12-09-2003 12:18 PM

just stay active.. and be courteous.... make sure everyone has agood time...

eotlemac 12-19-2003 05:22 PM

i really dont mind being a rookie atm.......

everyone has to be one sometimes, unless you start your own forum....but then you wouldnt have anyone to talk with.

jbail 12-20-2003 12:09 PM

This forum has been very helpful....thanks

orphen 12-21-2003 06:50 AM

hoping to shake the title soon. it's going to be a while though, don't have much computer time these days

dodgeboy 01-06-2004 04:31 PM

Rookie?

 You can only be a rookie once.

I was a Freshman for three semesters.

jonb2serment 01-13-2004 08:24 AM

Is there a post somewhere that lists all the ranks in order so that I may see what I can look forward to?

Cakewalk12 01-13-2004 03:57 PM

I love being Rookie. It's quite pleasant.

However, I feel my sanity slipping away....

Very soon, I shall have become truly INSANE waiting for my status to change!

gilada 01-15-2004 02:25 PM

I'm just curious... I've posted lots, yet my count has stopped going up. Not that I'm judging by that or anything, I feel that I'm contributing to different forums... just curious why my count stopped where it did.

Edit:
Well, now it's going again... strange....

bonehed1 01-15-2004 03:59 PM

it takes time to reach it....just enjoy the boards and have fun

numist 01-15-2004 04:19 PM

By the way, the reason the count for going from rookie to tilted isnt set is because you go through a review process. There is no set number for when you get in. Sure there is a minimum, but its not a guarantee.

Just participate, and let it go its own way. If you just here to count posts, gain privilege, and look at pr0n, youve come to the wrong place.

I learned that lesson the hard way last night by walking away from a beautiful blonde woman who was making great eye contact. I should have stayed and at least ridden the storm out. You never know in which port I may have landed!!! :D

Jizzosh 01-30-2004 09:05 PM

Apparently it takes enough shaking for to land you permanently tilted...

(insert drumroll)

aarchaon 02-01-2004 08:24 PM

One day I'll get my avatar....one day......

manupimp 02-06-2004 07:21 AM

I guess i better get started.! I used to come to the old tf project before it crashed. I'd spend hours on this site.

Arsenic7 02-08-2004 05:14 PM

I just want my avatar...I'm not used to being a faceless blog.

kulrblind 02-09-2004 05:06 AM

good things come to those who... contribute. :)

seriously... if you get involved with a community, you may lose the fixation with the visualness of your existence.

Smimpinj 02-09-2004 09:51 PM

Erk.. I have to remember to log in more often. This is a pretty nifty place. I'll eventually stop lurking and participate more.

Jephree 02-10-2004 11:22 AM

Smimpinj 02-17-2004 09:51 PM

SiN 10-12-2004 11:44 PM

Ya know, if you would just not worry about it, participate, have fun.
Then, one day you will just happen to no longer be a rookie.

naruto510 10-15-2004 04:19 PM

u can rate posts?

NJFrank 10-15-2004 06:57 PM

Perhaps it all depends on how much you donate.
Which is fine, as this is one hell of a free site, I think.
