Just wanted to find out how many people got here through Fark...

You'll find that many many people came here through Fark. Most of us have moved on from Fark, and spend our time in this community.

Ditto. The quality of Fark posts began to slip, and I just stopped going there. I'd rather interact with you guys.

I used to Fark pretty heavily, although I didn't come here through Fark. Now I'll just look at the links every so often when I'm bored.

I came here via Fark a long time ago, still visit Fark, they still do a pretty good job of posting all the various news links, but I like newsfilter.org better than fark.

I go to Fark all the time still, but I never post. I use it more for looking at links. After all, as a whole, the internet sucks.

I too found this place through fark a long time ago. I still go there for the news but I never got into posting there. Posting here is just so much more fun and rewarding!

I never post, but i love to visit all the funny news stories... I actually visit there every day almost.

I came here from Fark.. I was a pretty heavy user of #fark for awhile, and knew all of the people who hosted the Fark parties.. BUT, every single post there becomes a flame/troll war. Tfproject is a much better community with much more purpose and energy

Fark was my first real internet forum experience. I owe them gratitude for helping me get my feet wet. I still lurk there occasionally, but there's not much to comment on anymore, sadly.

Came from Fark too but got bored after quality of news was dropping and too many people were becoming asshats...

Fark is a great place to waste time, i use it all the time. It lead me here a long time ago.

Came here through Fark and proud to say I am about 30 minutes from Fark homebase.

The majority of the people on fark are morons. I only go there for the interesting links.

I didn't get here through Fark, but I am definitely a Farker. I go about 5 times a day (sometimes more) and check out the links and stuff.

One thing that has made me stop going as much: the photoshop competitions have turned into an immature talentless retard fest now. It used to be "he who has the skills wins the show" but now it's "he who uses the boring cliches made with Paint wins the show."

A while back, a Farker did a photoshop that had like 900 or so votes ( a lot for a Fark photoshop competition). The theme was "Photoshop what happens to you when you graduate college." The Farker made a picture of a college graduate falling through the stages of life (literally, the image was like 18 inches long, you had to scroll to see all of it). Well, he won that competition by far.

Now, all people do is make a semi-funny (sometimes horribly NOT funny) image really, really long (like 14-15 inches) just to cash in on that guy's success, and everyone votes for it. Just because it's a long picture. The whole process is cheesy as hell; it's blatantly obvious they are cashing in on old Photoshop methods that will always win.

Fark is a horrible addicting that has ruined by life. :D

I came here from Fark well over a year ago. I still check Fark a couple of times a day, but I'm on here heaps more now.

i'm not perfectly certain how i came upon TFP, but there is a decent chance it was from Fark. I still lurk on Fark occassionally, but i go there for reasons commpletely different than those i come to TFP for. their boards are entertaining, but you just can't escape from the flame wars and constant joking. TFP seems to have a good mix of that and more pithy discussions.

As others have said, I came here from when Fark had the TB listed as top boobies. However, now when I go there, I read the links, but don't post comments.

Fark comments went downhill about the time totalfark came around. I'm still proud of my relatively low fark# though.

mine could have been <1000 but I lurked for some time and have one around 50,000; which is probably low now.
that was a genius piece of work by Ash216(?? or something like that if memory serves)-edit: just came back to me - Ash2k- that I saved in my collection. Unfortunately I was a bit slow and grabbed it after he edited the image's 'first post' comment to the normal filtered 'boobies'

Last time I looked at the site it appeared to be a pathetic shell of its former self and not worth my $25 for totalfark anymore (which was dropped for me anyways at least 12-18 months back)

I just started Farking, sad about hearing how it used to be better.

to spend time and read through comments and reply back.

yeah, i remember when this board was an article submission all the way back when it first started, that's how i got here. i kinda got sick of all the fark vs. total fark business...

I discovered this site through Fark as well. I still enjoy both sites

yes, fark did it for me too. I just came here about a week ago from Fark. Man that site is a great place to kill time IMHO. Although i must say that TFP will now be taking up most of my spare internet surfing time at work :D

I didn't come here from Fark, but I go there to look at the news stories and boobies/weeners links. I got banned a while ago, so I don't post there anymore. I don't even know why I was banned, I am not a person who makes inflammatory statements or anything. It was really kind of weird. But I like this place better, so fark Fark. :)

I came here for the porn about a year ago then you all removed the porn but your all so nice so I stayed now the porn doesnt really matter =D (Im not lieing its just the suns in my face!)
