Also from fark...reading through these comments I noticed Fark's glory days were right before I started going there, around a coupla years ago...honestly I haven't noticed any degradation simply because my reasons for going there haven't changed: reading semi-funny and sometimes important news and sometimes reading what other people have to say about it in a semi-funny way. Yes, TFP Heaven and the 44 virgins and all that, but I think TFP and Fark are two totally different baskets I draw my daily internet meal from. Along with others. On a side note, I've noticed alot of veteran TFPers seem almost proudly defensive of their participation in this site...little odd if you ask me. Fresh blood does a forum good I guess.

Fark is and has been for a very long time my number one time wasting activity at work. I have a number in the 7000's now, and my original handle (the same as this one) was in the 3000s (lost/forgot my password or got bumped. Not sure which.)
It is true that Fark used to be much better. There were times that I would attempt insightful debate and wit. These days I use it as a combination extension of the Nonsense forums and a way of dispersing agression. I post a couple of times daily, sometimes more. I have been both lauded and reviled. This is a much more sedate, civil place. It has continuity that Fark never had, and a better overall grade of people. Not that there are't fine people at fark, but they are awash in highschool asshats and people indistinguishable therefrom.

Yeah, I came from Fark. Used to go there everyday. Now though, I've moved on to here. Fark just got boring, jokes and cliches got old, and so did the people. Still a great place though, and it will always have a place on my top 10 webpages.

I used to fark alot. Its not as great anymore though. Its basically the same couple of jokes over and over again. It's slipped, but its got roots.

I was farked all the way here as well. For quite some time i'd dreamed of a place just like this, I never thought I'd stumble across it via fark but I did, and it was good.
