location based posts?
 
I was wondering, what would be the appropriate board for talking to people in similar areas, like if I wanted to talk to people from, say, a particular college or city?

I would say that just to shoot the shit, the members playground would probably be the best place for that IMO. If its about a specific topic, then perhaps general would be more appropriate. In any case, don't be afraid to post. Worst case scenario, our friendly neighborhood mods will move it to what they see fitting and just give you a heads up!

Well I'm at Syracuse University for school right now and my home is on Long Island :p
