Since my amusement is a little slow...
I thought maybe I would make a formal introduction of myself. Sure, I've been on here for almost a month, but I don't think a random post here and there is going to introduce me as well as this thread might. (:
On with it, then! For starters, my name is Minka. Kind of like the porn star, only I don't have a crazy looking face and gigantic boobs. I'm 25 years old and am a single mom. Let's see... I have a huge interest in photography (and art in general), but I'm really lazy. So, I tend to take a lot of pictures of myself and my son. Trust me, I have HUNDREDS on this computer. Erm... I have a pet peeve about grammar and spelling, but I probably won't correct yours. Everyone makes mistakes, including me. Though, if you see me make one, please correct me. Just not in a rude manner. =P uhhh... I have a tendency of lurking, but I really am a nice person. (: And odd. Yes. Okay, I'm really not all that interesting. I tried. (: |

Your smilies are backwards, yet, you stick out the tongue like a pro.
My grammar is pretty good, as long as you can put up with my innuendo thetodd: IN HER END OH Anyway uh, welcome. This is the forum where I show off my disfunctional inner self that you'd never knew existed if you know me RL, it is what you make of it. |

welcome to our space on the internet.
have a good time and don't fret about lurking, usually some post or thread will illicit a response and you'll want to post something. Don't worry we don't bite unless asked.

... Or they are short women.
I am sure you will be fine here. You'll soon find that you have to read more threads... and join in more conversations. Then it wakes you in the middle of the night, "I wonder what's up at TFP." Then people ask you why your fingers twitch like you are typing... Soon... it'll consume you... it'll get you too... get out while you still can. I am like this in real life too... I think it makes life more interesting. Glad to welcome you aboard.

Hello,
I like the name "Minka" better than the name "RangerJoe", but that might just be me. As a guy, I would prefer the name "Thad" to something like "Chester" or "Clarence". I wouldn't like to be saddled with "Elrod" either. (Sorry you Chesters. Clarences, and Elrods. Nothing personal.) And as for your laziness, I'll bet I have you beat. I can sit here at my computer, look under a nearby table and there lies a nickel that has gone untouched since about this time last year. Nickels aren't worth much so I won't go crawling for it for economic reasons. I actually vacuum around it (when I bother to vacuum at all). And no one but me ever comes into this computer room. So there's no reason to grovel for it for aesthetic purposes. Someday I'm going to have to go after it. If it lies there too long the gray carpet will fade around it while the carpet below it will remain darker. When that happens I'll have to leave the nickel there indefinitely to hide the color difference. I know, I know, hide it from who? |
